   That's not really rare or miraculous. It has to do (mainly,) with thin cloud cover at a certain altitude (over wherever your location happens to be.) As an amateur astronomer (who wrote a quarterly column on the subject for 7 years,) I've seen this plenty of times.

      I heard it was the reflection of the sun's rays on a particular angle at the surface of the moon! And you tell something different.. Well, I don't disagree as I'm not that qualified but would love to know what actually happens

   That's pretty cool shot of your description. I didn't see it here in the US, but I've seen a halo around the moon before. I once saw a ring halo around the sun and it was red and yellow colors. My mother also saw that one day and she tried to explain that she saw the most petculiar sighting in the sky which was very similar to what I saw. I also saw this strange vision of the clouds forming a rainbow mist and it didn't rain. I live in desert climate. The photo doesn't show good. The other clouds looks like angel wings. You can see a slight rainbow below to the right.

      wow... Yea I can see that!! Pretty spectacular!! Was it there the whole day or only just a flash??
      
      And ring around the sun?? I haven't seen that!

      It was like that for maybe a couple of hours. I was driving home and heading towards it when I noticed the sky looking real strange. That vision was actually spanned vertically much larger than it is in this photo. I ran upstairs to get my camera quick to take photos. I have about 7 shots of different angles. This showed the colors more. The time was around 4 pm. Can you see the mist splash near the top of the tree branch? It was starting to fade.
