Anyone here practice Yoga?
There are different forms of Yoga.
Which form do you practice.

I just created a new Group on Yoga, Chakras and more and I am holding open invitations,
I hope to see some of you there.

@XanthePat...Yeah my Aunt practices that one, it's a lot of fun and it does move very quickly.

Here is a pretty cool Video on Ashatanga.

Notice how flexible those guys are and I love the gorgeous scenery too.

I prefer the old slow burn like Kundalini yoga and a few others.

The Group invite is open if interested. No pressure.

I was thinking about getting into yoga, but my body just doesn't work that way.
My fingers have the same problem with trying to play a guitar.

@BL....What do you mean your body doesn't work that way?

You can start out small in the comfort of your home doing some very light stretching.
That is the best way to get into Yoga without overdoing it.

Later you build flexibility and strengthen your body.

Give it some thought because I know lot's of people who thought it would be hard,
only later to discover it's not that hard at all. Wish you luck.

I do a lot of stretching and balancing exercises, some of the poses stolen from yoga, but I haven't practiced the breathing portions. At my belly dance studio, yoga classes are free for dancers, so I really should be going to them. BTW,joined group.

@calais50....Awesome thanks for joining, I hope to see that Group get bigger in size.

One quick trick to breathing is to remember to breathe from the lower stomach
and then bringing the air up from the stomach to the head area.
I do my breathing from the stomach and then bringing the air through all 7 chakras.

I don't -- but I would love to start. It seems like it helps relax, as well as tone the body.
    1. Jeunelle
@JanelleV...Yes boy are you right about that.

It is a great way to relax and take a load off, especially after a long stressed out day.

What's great about Yoga too is you don't have to go to a gym to pay a huge monthly gym membership fee when you can practice Yoga in the comfort of your home.

A Yoga mat is a basic requirement but if you have wall-to-wall carpeting,
that will do just fine too.

I practice in front of my Television while watching the Pro's on DVD or VHS. Not bad.

In the morning I'm usually watching and working out with Rodney Yee...here's a video.

I've been a yogini for almost 30 years. I have a strong background in Iyengar yoga practice and Kundalini. My husband and I are tantric sex practitioners.

I was delighted to find some excellent yoga blogs registered at BC, and I'm glad to share them with others. Thanks for the opportunity to do so.
