you do not have to do anything illegal to find good music on the Web

Free music? Of course! But free and legal music? Yes, it’s possible. Everybody who has ever surfed the Net knows that music can be downloaded freely. Although there are many questionable sites that offer free music, you do not have to do anything illegal to find good music on the Web

True, there's loads of sites that offer free downloads from the artists themselves. However, although illegal it can prove benifical to the musicians and artists themselves for mass distrubution, particularly now during the economic crisis, giving away free downloads is a great marketing tool. (Btw I do not endorse downloading illegally, just saying it's not all terrible).
