Tried this today:

uk.youtube.com/watch?v=s4pokIFqtEU

Not sure if it will work, not easy doing a video of a book!

Anyone had any experience of using You Tube to promote their blog?

true pbkuan, but they don't always know what to look for at youtube...

for example, today on my Learn English Online blog, i posted a School House Rock youtube video...Conjunction Junction.

      40ssingleness-learnenglish.blogspot.com/2007/06/monday-grammar-point_25.htm...

Not many English language learners know about School House Rock...now, rather than searching through youtube trying to find relevant ones, they know they can find them on my site...

I've been thinking of using YouTube myself.

Had the idea of hosting a video showing how to make up one of our photo gift cd clocks when supplied in build it yourself kit form.

Which led us to other ideas - other products featured in some amusing storyline etc.

I'll let you know when i finally get round to it. You can check out the photo gifts in the meantime at www.fabulousphotogifts.co.uk

Mike, that is so cool! I've been thinking about making a video greeting for my blog visitors. It's on my to-do list.

Love yours. What a cool idea.

    Yes, Lonelygirl15 did it,but......

And the video introduction to one's blog is really cool..but that video should play automatically..some might even skip on clicking the 'play' button!

    Like it Mike, great post.

We use youtube in our blog all the time but not considered it the other way around. Gotta be the way to GO! Podcast as well perhaps?

    Awesome!

I'm too self-conscious to video myself, but I may do something different. I don't really want to get into the cooking-video thing.

Thanks guys. I've joined a group at You Tube and posted it there, so we'll see.

I am thinking about Podcasting but I can't even get my laptop to record external stuff yet! Ho hum nothing is ever easy!

    Okay ...
12 days later and I've created a new film, much improved from the last with animation and pictures from the flickr community who have agreed for their work to be included. See how that fares.
