In a horrible show of self promotion here:
These posts are ones that I like, but never bothered to have published anywhere but on my blog, most of these are much older posts, and received little attention because my blog had very few readers

These posts have actually been published elsewhere on the internet, and the first two have received the special status of being in the top ten articles on Populist America (And has reached number 4, up from number seven!) The other posts have also received a lot of attention on sites like buzzflash, Alex Jones website, and ezines as well as Populist America.

By what standards are you judging your "best" post? The one you like the most? The one that got the most comments?
    1. Anok
For me, it's the posts I either really liked, or as in the second group the ones I liked and the ones that received overwhelming approval/responses from others.
    2. clioandme
Make your own up and tell us what they are.

My frequently updated Kentucky Derby rankings are getting about 100 hits per day lately:

My "beginner's corner" was a monstrous underatking to try and explain the many complexities of horse racing to total newcomers:
    theaspiringhorseplayer.wordpress.com/beginners-corner/

And of course one of my many tribute posts to Curlin which have actually got me in contact with the folks that work for his owner, billionaire Jess Jackson of Kendall Jackson wine fame:

Lastly, there's everything you could ever want to know about your's truly.

I finally read your beginner's page. Commented there too.

By the way, voodoo, I've read a couple of your posts (some of which you posted in this thread) I like your style of writing, I disagree with many of your points - but I still like it. I just thought I'd share that.

Well, that and I seem to be the only one completely whoring out my blog in this thread. Oh well, I should be ashamed, but I'm not.

    1. voodooKobra
That's good; sometimes I say things just to make a point :P.
    2. Anok
Understood, honestly. Sometimes it's good just to stir the pot or kick the donkey or whatever you want to call it....

I enjoy writing my "Rules of Fabulousness" and they are the posts that get the most attention:

    suburbqueen.blogspot.com/search/label/Rules%20of%20Fabulousness
    1. Anok
You really are fabulous. I read, and took notes
    2. voodooKobra
I would comment, but every use of the word "fabulous" by a guy results in unwanted accusations.
    3. suburbqueen
Thanks Anok! And voodoo, I would never make accusations (especially to someone with an avatar like yours).

I don't have a clue about best, but let me point to three from this year that I like:

"When Google Gets it Wrong" generated a whopping 15 comments (including my own). More to the point, I received some positive feedback from other historians. I mention it here, because bloggers do a lot, perhaps even most of their research online. mrstoneman.blogspot.com/2008/01/when-google-gets-it-wrong.html

I don't usually say good things about my son online, but I do in "Excitement about the Obama Campaign." (I've got other reasons to be proud, but I try to respect his privacy for the most part.) markstoneman.wordpress.com/2008/02/03/excitement-about-the-obama-campaign/

Just for the fun of it, "Eight Random Things." A meme, you say? How lame is that? Well, a few of you might find the chickens funny. markstoneman.wordpress.com/2008/01/20/eight-random-things/

I stumbled two of your posts.

and this one is my choice

I cannot get any "popularity" plugin it to work for me, so based it on hits and comments, except my choice.
