I love the scent of lavender-- very clean and fresh.
Perfume-wise, roses and my favorite perfume, Jessica McClintock (general floral)
And nothing like coffee or bacon in the morning. So, so wonderful. -

Lavendar oil or scented oils. I hate perfumes, they stink.
I usually apply a few drops to the top center of my head after a shower. -
RTBjf73.... Egad.
calais5 ever been sprayed or maced when you visit the department stores?
Well some years ago they use to walk right up to you when you visited the cosmetic department counter and spritz you with their latest perfume.
I actually had to grab one of them by their collar and give them a good shaking.
I am allergic to that stink and she was quite surprised when I grabbed her
and smashed her perfume bottle on the floor.
The head of the department came down and apologized to me,
since I was seen on the security camera giving her a good shaking and smashing her bottle
and they gave me a $100 gift certificate to shut me up cause I created quite a stink about it.
That was the 1st and last time anybody spritzed me. I HATE PERFUME.
In fact the next man that buys me perfume is a dead man. lmao -
Some scents I love:
- the smell of an approaching or just finishing rain
- the old smell of chewing gum on the back of freshly opened Topps baseball cards in my youth.
- barbecue
- apples - especially the Macintosh apple from yankee candle.
- pine sol - love when the house is clean and you can smell pine sol in the sinks/toilets.
- pheromones - can't really "smell" a particular scent, but I know I enjoy getting a strong whiff.
-
of course I do - Actually it was your baseball reply at the top of this thread that made me think of this.
Sadly, I bought my 4 year old a bunch of cards the last few weekends, and even the Topps cards that come with gum nowadays don't have that smell. The gum is wrapped in plastic so as not to damage the cards.
Know what used to amaze me? That smell of gum used to stay on the cards for months after you got them. Yet that same gum, when chewed, lost it's flavor in about 10 seconds flat.
By the way, if you grew up collecting cards in the late 70's/early 80's (I was born in '78 but somehow started accumulating cards in '79 - probably due to my brother being 2 years older) - then this is a blog you need to check out. One of the best written blogs on earth in my opinion:

I agree with Kdawg68....I like the smell of an oncoming rain. I like the smell of all the foods mingle together with freshly baked bread and a hint of pine on christmas day. I like the smell of a new house. I like certain smells from my youth....strawberries, bazooka bubble gum, BBQ.
Someone should have started a thread on smells that you despise. I'll mention a couple.
1. Burnt popcorn
2. male musk glands trying to be hidden by applying female perfume
3. poverty and fear
4. artichoke fields -

I used to have 3 roommates from Asian countries. They cooked some weird foods. The one from Japan used to make garlic heavy scrambled eggs first thing in the morning. I am nauseated just thinking about it. I like a little garlic in foods, but not first thing in the morning and definitely I don't like the smell.

I used to like Eternity by Calvin Klein. The Crotchety Old Lady used to use it. But then she found out where I first smelled it. It was the one my favorite stripper used, so then she wouldn't wear it.
So, now it's onions frying as my favorite scent. I'm not allowed to smell Eternity any more. -
Magnolias, the flowers (we have huge magnolia trees all over our neighborhood) and any perfume with magnolias
My parents house on any holiday
My three year old when she comes inside (she smells like summertime)
I saw someone put pinesol and I had to laugh, when I was pregnant I LOVED the smell of pinesol, I used to mop everyday-
Fresh ground coffee
The beach
Gain Clothes Soap
Books (there's something about the smell of library books that I love) -

When my husband hugs me, while wearing a V-neck T-shirt, the combination of laundry soap, Old Spice sports deodorant and the clean smell of his neck ... is quite relaxing, comforting and yet tantalizing to me. If he has a tuxedo shirt on over the T-shirt, it still works.
Schizandra tablets ... as I open a new jar I inhale the aroma and think, "Yes ... mmm."
Fresh food ingredients ... being a chef I have an incredible nose and palette.
Library books.
Fresh tangy sea air. -
I like....puppy breathe, gasoline at the pump, fresh baked bread, blackberries and a few other foods.
