Your favourite whisky

Being a bit careful with money and not actually knowing a lot about whisky my choice is limited by how much I'll pay for a bottle.
Currently, I am enjoying the Glenlivet -12 yr old single malt, Scottish whiskey.
Any offers for a better or alternative drink.
