I just started a blog about 2 weeks ago and looking for suggestion to improve it (apperance, traffic, monetization, etc.)

I think you have a great site. It is nice and 'clean' and full of good information.
After reading through it for a while my eyes started to getting a little tired. It may have been the text colour or my screen is a little off. Otherwise I think it is really good.

Gerri, thanks for the feedback. I removed the extra Archive and changed the text to pure black for easier reading.
I faved your blog and left 1 comment so far (good post!). I will come back to read a few more posts and leave a few more comments.

Like the blog and good easy to understand advise, but when I scroll the background does some funky flashing. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.6

More content in the right sidebar wold be nice. It looks "blank". Your blog looks like a plain, ordinary, business blog.

I visited your site, do you get paid to blog about the products and services? Or do you use them and recommend them?

You might want to change "our" and "us" on the "subscribe" box if it is a personal blog.
Your design is good, but can make it more unique - Maybe by changing your header image to something more striking.
Monetization can come from referrals/affiliating, since yours is a investing site, why not affiliate forex sites or some click bank( www.clickbank.com ) products: www.clickbank.com it can also fill up some of your side bar. You can also consider writing an ebook, however marketing and making the most out of it might be something you might need to learn.
If your site gets popular enough, you might also want to try text-link-ads( www.text-link-ads.com/?ref=81044 )

1. I think the main page and sigle post page should have the same width
2. Some of your element could use padding so they don't touch border - i.e., input boxes on your main page
3. Should give google ad in the single post white margin so that the post text does not butt up right against it.
4. The sign up form in after the post is redundant with the one on the side bar and slow me down from getting right to the comment form
Other than that, it's a nice looking site.

Nice site, though to get more exposure you may want to check your colours, blue on blue isnt really very good, especially if you have seeing problems.
Whats the bloke who is fishing got to do with your blog, at first I thought it was a fishing blog, try to find a picture more relevent.
I would drop your related posts above your bookmarks, let them see the related posts before they get to the bookmarks.
