How many times did you reinvent yourself in your lifetime?
Im asking this because I saw this week the new movie by Clint Eastwood the Gran Torino and Ive been following Clint Eastwood since his beginnings as an actor in class-B spaghetti westerns.
In my book The Alchemist, Santiago, the shepherd boy, has to reinvent himself in order to get to his goal. I have also been in this situation and had to reinvent myself many times.
So now I would like to know about you: How many times have you re-invented yourself and in which situations?

Many times. I wanted to be a schoolteacher, but found I couldn't stand the classroom atmosphere, so I trained as a ski instructor, but was put off by the low pay and seasonal work, so I trained to be a print journalist, but eventually found better work in television, where I am now.
If you're not flexible and willing to try new things, then re-inventing yourself is nearly impossible.

Get out, your not really PAULO COELHO.
    Awesome if you are though.

Live is theater, we are all actors, we become whatever the role we are playing at the time calls for, in the end, when we go home and take off our shoes, we are still the one and only us.

"we continue to be born every minute"
    Thich Nhat Hanh

"he not busy being born is busy dying"
    Bob Dylan

I try to reinvent myself constantly...it's harder than it looks, though...
