Your True Feelings of American Idol?!?!?

Ok, so I was watching the news tonight and they are already doing the next American Idol auditions (and they are actually coming to my home state apparently). I think that I am starting to get tired of the routine. What about you?

I read a quote from Simon Cowell where he said Bob Dylan wouldn't have a chance on American Idol. I thought "thank you for confirming my reasons for not watching!"

for me, american idol should not be picked out of selected individuals, but many individuals should be taken in masses and they all be put forward to the mould of what the best they can formed into by challenging all spheres, their singing, dancing, reading..etc skills of every sphere be sharpened and toned... so that most evolved out of the mass be the one to top american idol

The only part I enjoy is watching the auditions and seeing the really bad/clueless singers. The show seems like it was made with teens in mind. The songs are sickeningly teen pop-ish.

  We do watch that part- I just can't believe that some people think they can sing- it is really the only part I like!

I live in Sweden where we can watch American Idol. I prefer Simon, Paula, Randy, and Ryan over the hosts they have for Swedish Idol. Without a doubt American Idol is much better.

I only enjoyed the second season. It just got too repetitive for me. The only part I used to actually sit down and watch (the terrible auditions in the beginning) doesn't interest me too much anymore, either.

I have been in music all my life, so therefore I can not STAND those first two weeks. My wife watches that religously, so when it gets down to the final ten contestants, she knows if I will like someone's singing, and then call me into the living to hear them sing...which has not happened but a half a dozen times over the years.

but there are moments wen someone who can actually sing comes on the show, and it's shocking LOL

I feel violent hatred for American Idol. I can't stand the show and wish it would disappear. It is very trashy. The only dude I ever liked was the Indian guy because he was ridiculous.

  I couldn't agree more- my wife and I looked at each other and started laughing- then she told me I should try out! I can sing- but I don't think that this is for me! LOL
