Hi

I need to upload a test video to youtube.

To save time uploading and waiting for the tubie to compress it, what's the best file size, screen size etc to prepare it to before it gets there?

Any tips

Thanks

Ah sorry AG - my software does it all behind the scenes and I don't even get to fiddle with it before it goes up to YT - sorry.

      Thanks

I just dropped it from 331 to 20 to avi format

I could throw it into flash and make it smaller.

      Does it like swf

I used some cheap programme which came with my lap top - ULead Video Studio 8 - when I'm done editing I ask it to export to (is it ro WMF - I can;t remember?) at best quality and hey presto it's done (takes about twenty minutes to do the conversion though)...

      It's gone now..

Maybe I'm a potential candidate...actually Jimmie Spheeris, Linda Rondstadt, Chic Correa, a lot of great musicians signed up.

      Not today thanks.

Oh it's just come back..they want me bad

Not that I'm an expert on youtube but my few uploads went smoothly using windows movie maker and saving the video for best playback on my pc.

    If that helps at all.

      Thanks

      I've sorted the basics.

Now I've got to sort what is the best compression to use, basically at what point in the process to shrink it to get the best possible quality without losing too much.
