I think the creative process is just a fascinating thing. Because sometimes you start off thinking:

"Hm, I'll do a Halloween parody of 'T'was The Night Before Christmas'"...

And suddenly you find it's become a short sequel to 'Shaun of the Dead' in verse:

Which got me wondering what topics have you started to write about which evolved into something entirely different?

Have you ever written anything that surprised even yourself?

I'm not sure but I know I do it. I'll write about something and then near the end of the post I'll say sorry about the rant. Lol! One thing leads to another and then...
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
Yup, I totally understand how that goes. It's like you get so in the zone, everything else falls away.

Lol! "Get me a Bud Light"

Haha... I love your zombie poem I just designed a zombie safety guide. Im sure you like it. And it tells you, why you shoudnt put a zombie on fire
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
Well, I'm sure it ANNOYS them for one thing. I'll have to check it out.

      Erm WP

They are smelling bad on fire but they might also ignite you and your surroundings. Check out the other safety guidelines.

LOL -- I just saw Shaun of the Dead LAST NIGHT!

There's nothing like watching him whale on people with a cricket bat. It was brilliant.

I'm off to look at your post, now...

    (loved it!)
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
Oh, wow, that was some good timing then!

I laugh every time Shaun takes that bat to the zombies in time to the Queen jukebox music. I can't hear that song anymore without picturing that scene.

Last night was my first time seeing it. And honestly, after seeing the trailer for Paranormal Activity yesterday, I was in for a funny scary movie.

Netflix to the rescue! Shaun of the Dead is a keeper. (Just like Ed.)

You might enjoy "Hot Fuzz" as well-- their spoof on cheesy action movies.
    4. crpitt
      Just about to suggest that

Three thumbs for both of them.

Just read the post and tweeted it...although I messed up and wrote "twas the Night Before Christmas" the first time. I hate when I screw up tweets and then have to do it over again. Loved the post.
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
      Much appreciated, Jay!--

And yes, really, it would be nice to EDIT Tweets, wouldn't it? I've committed typos more than once, and the Twitter Interwebs will not let me take them back.

May you not be nibbled on by zombies this Halloween season.

I look back at most of my posts and wonder who slipped me the narcotics.
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
Now, I know you've had the flu recently-- has it helped or hindered the creativity?
    2. crpitt
Hmmm I would say hindered for the most part, not so much the creativity but stealing the time to be creative.
    3. ThriftShopRomantic
Heh, when I had the flu in August, I still had important deadlines for work. So for me, actually physically typing was the problem.

I'd type a sentence or two and I was exhausted.
    4. crpitt
Yep, even twitter was a struggle on my bad days, it was hell! lol

My post entitled "Him" surprised a lot of people, including me

    Great post, as always TSR!
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
Did you debate whether or not to post it once it went off in an unexpected direction?

      And thanks.
    2. Deray28
Oh no, it went on that direction intentionally, jajajaja. I knew no-one would expect me to write something like that
    3. dbowles1017
      You have peaked my interest.
  8. polybore
Reminded polybore of a work of art by the Chapman brothers. A model of a McDonalds populated with little model zombies.
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
I've seen little model zombies-- and frightened citizens-- that you can purchase for setting up your own zombie invasion dioramas.
  9. ArsenicCookies
hmm I had a sex post turn into a post about hips and cavemen, a party post turn into pride in Irish stereotypes and a parenting post turn into breeding a force for world domination
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
So the answer is... yes, then.

The "breeding a force for world domination line" made me laugh out loud. I can see you writing about that.
    2. ArsenicCookies
oh yeah.. haha... yes.. yes I have World domination!!!!!
