Trading faves is good, but to really get anywhere on Technocrati your blog has to have authority votes. Okay here is how you get authority, get linked to by a technocrati blog.
So I will link to any blog that links to me. I have a made post that I will edit daily that will link to your blog.

My blog currently has a technorcrati authority of 8
Now what you do is this, write a post called "Blogcatalog friends" and in that post have a link to me.
I will then link back to you within 24hrs on the above post. Bingo, you now have technocrati authority.
