If you want to just post your blog URL in hopes that somebody might click and help your Alexa rating, please go somewhere else. A lot of taking with no giving creates no results. I was one of them, and I have a different idea.

Try this:
1. Post a link to a few of your best posts below.

2. Other users click on those links and leave a good comment posted under their handle and blog address. You can add an asterisk (*) to the end of the handle to indicate that you are participating in this giving tree.

3. The webmaster sees this comment and within 24 hours returns the favor with a similar comment.

4. If no return comment is made the initial user will post a reply here indicating that this particular website isn't participating.

The rankings by Alexa for sites outside of the states it seems to me are very inaccurate. What is the best way to remedy this

I've 2 sites:
1 - has 100 visitors daily(in google.com/analytics) - Alexa show - 200 000
2 - has 300 visitors daily (in google.com/analytics) - Alexa show - 1 700 000

How to explain it?

Changes In Alexa Ranking - Your Thoughts'

Recently, Alexa changed the way it computes the ranking of different website. Alexa decided to use more sources of information for their ranking.

As a result, the Alexa Traffic Rank is no longer skwed to technology related blogs/sites.

I do think that this may have caused my ranking to fall but overall, I'd say that Alexa's move was good and strategic. Read my posts about it here: http://www.bloggingmix.com/2008/04/17/alexa-ranking-overhauled/

What are your thoughts on the changes? Was your rank affected? Did it went down or up?

It's because I found there's no certain relationships between alexa rank and the number of visitors, pls put your alexa rank and average number of ur visitors these days, let's see what the exact relationship is.

Here's mine:

Alexa: 1,480,550

Visitors: around 1,000 (average for this week)
