   Well, I would like to see someone focus on everything but dogs and cats--you know, exotic pets. Hermit crabs, lizards, sugar gliders, prairie dogs...
   
   What about animals and the sick or elderly?
   
   Or what about exposing the ignorance of pet stores or manufacturers? Just a thought. My sister is always mezmorized by the clerks "vast and infinite knowledge" and her exotic pets always die. And people love contraversy....

   Or how about a way to get little no-body pet products out in the open. I have a line of hermit crab food that gets limited exposure and I'm sure their are thousands of little mom & pop places that specialize in boutique interests.

   My site is the blog of a brown tabby, but I am hoping it will also become a collection of pictures and videos of all animals. I started by having a forum and getting news feeds from Discovery Channel, Nat'l Geographic, etc., so people do find my site by googling for penguins, tortoises, vet advice, etc. and landing on the forum first.
   
   I think you should just get started and then see where your pet interests take you, whether to exotics, animal rescue, etc. We animal lovers are always glad to have one more animal site to go to! :-)

   What I, personally, would like to see more of, is sites that help pet owners figure out how to handle emergencies. The need is not just in the area of finances (although that is what my own site is all about), but in the areas of decision making, knowing what is an emergency and what is not, and how to avoid emergencies in the first place.
