Sweet Polly,
A widget would be lovely!! And I love your water birds. They do provide much tranquility and calm after such stormy seas. This is a very good thing you're doing. I only wonder if the name for the group is a little generic and will be hard for the people we don't want to lost track of to find, dear old friends from ec, etc. Just a rambling little thought.
Anyway, gentle hugs and a good night to you...

I agree that this is a great idea. I've been feeling a little out of the loop since leaving Entracard. Are more people leaving EC?
-
There are now many Bloggers that have removed their widgets - and I can't tell you how many rejecting ads with the words "No Entrecard Widget."
Here there will not be the pressure to do 300 clicks every day - here we can read each other's blogs at a more leisurely pace and comment on what takes our fancy.
If I make a little button using the waterfowl picture that goes straight onto this group then we can use it as a springboard to visit each other.
I am glad that you have decided to join. It not only gives us an easy way of visiting each other's blogs but also to chat here too!

Lea, its so good to see you too!
I guess I'm confused because I thought you meant we were going to have a group for all of the people leaving ec so we didn't lose track of each other. I've been here long enough to know that all kinds of everybody (and a lot of people/blogs I'd be uncomfortable with as to content, sexual and other)might sign up with things we'd be uncomfortable with. Maybe if the members were approved instead of just leaving it wide open? I'm not trying to exclude anyone, just feeling protective about all of our ec friends who are so in need of coming together right now after the debacle there, and outsiders wouldn't allow us to come together as a group as easily. Just a thought and feel free to toss it! :o) (I think it comes from my abusive past and wanting to feel safe. I feel safe amongst people I know, but that's just me...)
On the other hand, I know there are a world of wonderful blogs we wouldn't want to miss, but I'd still feel better if people were approved first. Then newcomers would be welcome as long as their blogs weren't off-color, etc. I'm always excited to find new wonderful blogs.
The name I thought of, which would address our just leaving ec and trying not to lose everybody, without using ec so only we ec'ers will know what it means, is "From there to here, and onward..." (Or just "From There To Here..." Just a thought.
Love to one and all!
Maitri-
I will change to approval only if that makes you happier. I thought it would be nice to include old friends as well as many used to be in Entrecard and have left within the last six to nine months - many becuase they couldn't keep up with the dropping and others because they just became disillusioned. I, like you also don't want any deviant blogs to contend with or accidentally look at. So let's do our best to keep it safe.

Hi Maitri and Polly
I think Maitri brought up a relevant point. I'm a strong believer in the human energy field, (as well as all life and Earth's). So for me, I would want to be cautious about just anyone signing up and their website would be the best indicator of negative or positive energy.
Perhaps simply having admission only on approval will deter the negative influenced from even applying and possibly could have it stated in the groups description that adult only related and etc. sites are not accepted, as well.
Could also do an invitation only type thing, but the chances of missing good bloggers is a risk.
Are you pulling your hair out yet Polly? lol -
Hey Lea, it looks like Polly has at least 3 good hairs left to me!
And yes, I am very sensitive to negative energy and there's a lot more than just sexual blogs that I object to, i.e. any that are mean spirited or unkind. I have had many lists and groups, and my main message was that we don't have to agree, but we need to be non-judgemental, compassionate and kind. I love all kinds of blogs from animals to humor to crafts, cooking, spirituality etc, but there were ec blogs that made me cringe. I for one don't like anime and a few things, but mostly I'm open as long as they are approved first...
Maitri, leaning over fanning poor Polly and trying to pull her up off the floor... ;o> -
Hi Maitri
Three hairs huh, your hanging in there pretty good Polly, hahaha.
I agree, anything that is not respectful and loving to the world in general, is not anything I wish to be exposed to. That doesn't mean I avoid information that might upset me, as some unpleasant information leads to positive changes. Just so much unnecessary rhetoric is spread around that distracts from the beauty of life and growth. Would be nice to have something in place to be able to sift that out.
How you doing Polly? Polly?! Speak to me Polly! hahaha

Hey .... about two-and-a-half remaining ... haha
So we're all in agreement to be very careful ... and not have any blogs with unacceptable material. I also dislike ones with bullying intent and think it unnecessary to find flaws with people in the name of humour or entertainment. I think that we are all of the same mind and perhaps if ones approach that are in a grey area we could all make the decision whether they are acceptable or not. Hopefully, those sorts of blogs won't be interested in joining at all!!!
Hi there Lea ... with it being Good Friday, I have had a lovely bowel of Cadbury's Flake Icecream tonight .... and I'm making no excuses as it was delicious every spoonful right down to the very last lick. It's the first time that I have tried it ... I'm not a big icecream eater - at least not yet!!!

Hi everyone,
Lovely to see the familiar faces of my "Kindness Droppers" here. I have enjoyed your blogs so much! In the kill to be on top crowd (I just don't fit in). I was a teenager in the 70's, I believe in live and let live, everyone has their place in this universe).
I am still dropping ECs...(I guess I am stubbornly-optimistic that they will work it out and part of my daily habit). I might need intervention or "drop'oholics anonymous" to break my addiction.
Kathy -
Kathy honey,
It's so good to see you here! I've always read your blogs with great delight. And as to ec, whatever anyone does about that is their own business. The whole point here is that those of us who left didn't want to lost track of one another, but those still in are welcome too if they are approved. You can imagine some of the blogs on ec, as anywhere, have content we wouldn't want here.
But I'll tell you what, not having to do those drops -- and yes, I'd been doing a lot of dropping too, to the exclusion of things I really need to do at home and with my work, that it has almost been a shock and quite a relief not to have to do the dropping. At first I didn't know what to do with myself, ha ha ha, and now I'm already getting a lot more accomplished. So, to everything there is a season, and my season at ec in it's heyday was just wonderful and I'll never forget that.
Anyway, blessings to you honey and it's just wonderful to see you here.
Hugs,
Maitri -
