How to Vote and Nominate

Bloggers Choice Awards is proberbly the webs largest blog Competion and voting site.

To be nominated some one else can do it for you or you can do what most do and nominate your own blog, its 3 simple steps to have your blog included/

Your blog will then have its own page where members of bloggers choice awards can nominate your blog

You also get a flash badge that you can add to your blog to encourage a bit more voting.


Blogcatalog even has a feature where you can add your badge to your blogs profile page.

Have a look on the right.

To do this you goto manage your blog/s and add your vote code number and category to the boxes and save it.

Enjoy the voting and please remember you may not win but its the fun of being involved.

    You can nominate your own blog?! Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose?

    I know the whole point is to see who gets the most votes, but I don't get the propensity for allowing people to nominate themselves for awards on the Internet. To nominate yourself and then put a badge on your blog trumpeting that you've been nominated seems deceptive, to me. I'm sure there are perfectly rational explanations for why this practice is ethical and otherwise acceptable but it makes it difficult to be impressed by such a badge when all it shows is that I'm listed at yet another site.

    I know that people would just ask their friends to nominate them, but if this is supposed to be the biggest award going wouldn't it make more sense to at least require that eomsone like you or your blog well enough to nominate you? Just sayin'.

    That said, I'm still going to check in with this group. I've been curious about the awards and how they work so I figured this would be a good place to find out. Thanks for the invite, crkian.

      I think it would be OK to nominate yourself, but if you do - it would be really weird to talk in your blog about how you were nominated...

    Very true, though I notice a few of last years top entries entered themselves, you may be web shy anout asking someone or want the badge more than the votes.

    I've thrown my hat in the ring. My blog is a free online antiques appraisal blog at auctionwally.blogspot.com

    legbamel, you do make a very good point, but the way I see it is that like this. Blogging is still a relatively new form of communication, and there are so many blogs out there, that your blog may never get nominated by someone else because either A) they don't know your blog exiists or B) They don't know this award exists.
    But, I do see the ability to nominate yourself being excluded in the future.

      voted for both of you above i think... you are not wrong, though - the site is really hard to navigate. the worst thing is that when people go to vote for you through your button, they click vote and it doesn't register, and then they have to log in or sign up, and forget to go back to redo the vote - so many of my blog readers have said they've voted for me (and described what happened) but their votes didn't appear on my tally... that isn't how it's supposed to be, surely??! E
