   Is that a no then? I re-claimed my blog and tried adding it to new categories, but never got the option. As I haven't seen how to so this anywhere else I assume it's not an option..? Seems like it should be.

   FYI Everyone. Just got a response from Scott Mulrooney at Bloggers Choice Awards.

   Thank you for contacting Blogger's Choice Awards! In response to your query, all thumbnails are cached by Alexa and updated about once every two months. The thumbnail images of more popular sites are updated more frequently, and sites with higher Alexa scores (lower traffic ratings) are updated less frequently.
   
   You may have some success asking Alexa to update the thumbnail for you, and if they do please let us know so that we can pull the new image. Sorry for the inconvenience.

   Once at Alexa you can, "Edit site info", there is an option to update your screenshot within 48 hours.

   i just wrote this message to bloggers choice. maybe we should start a petition?
   
   "i understand that bloggers choice uses thumbnails from alexa, but i don’t really understand why. since so many of your nominations are for smaller sites that are not on alexa’s radar screen (and no, asking them to update the thumbnail isn’t much use), the result is that many, if not most, of your nominated blogs have “screenshot unavailable”. the overall effect is to make the awards seem less authentic, as it looks as though everybody’s voting over sites that somehow don’t quite exist.
   
   i am sure that if you published clear guidelines, the bloggers would be delighted to provide you with properly formatted screenshots. have you considered that option? it would make a lot of people happy!"

   Here here! I'll jump on that petition. I was surprised they didn't have an option for this anywhere. People change their blogs all the time. I was really surprised they didn't have something like they do here at BC.
   
   I've been reading stories of how it takes Alexa months to update screenshots. So it's not much of an option.
   
   Good call with the letter.
