Japan's Whale Hunt - Barbarism At Its Worst.

I'm not sure whether this will be receive in the right spirit but I do hope that you can spare a bit of time and write about the needless slaughter of whales by Japan. Any additional expression of indignation at the barbaric killings by Japan will help in reinforcing the need to put a stop to these senseless killings.
If you find this message offensive, I would like to apologize but I do hope you can empathize with these majestic cetaceans. Best.

I had to comment on this. Originally the hunt of the whale was done more from a perspective of balancing out the eco system. The Whales were in fact depleting the supply of fish in certain waters. Not to mention the fact they were attacking fisherman, who dared to go far out to sea.
I agree it is a shame that to appease Japanese dignitaries that Japan is now just aimlessly killing not only the whales for meat but the dolphins as well. These creatures are in danger of extinction. -
I do not feel that this is a human rights issue. An environmental issue, perhaps. An animal rights issue, perhaps. But this is not a human rights issue.
