Good luck everyone. If even one person (or creature) finds help or helps another through our words, or with the resources we link to, it will have been more than worth it. ='.'=
  5. I am in too
  6. My blog "Captain's bridge" was proud to join you in blogging against abuse. Thank you. We became one crew of the light. You are welcomed to captains-bridge.blogspot.com

  7. Well, since I'll be having classes tomorrow, I've already posted it today.
    morinn.blogspot.com/2007/09/woman-abuse-in-mauritius.html

It's about the problem of women abuse in my country and I speak mostly of someone I know who is facing this problem.

  11. I have entered this blog here
    www.problogs.com/Post3421.htm

About the rape of children in a cure aids myth.
It has so far been read 239 times by unique visitors in less than 48hrs, so I am really pleased about that. The message is getting out.

I also have a blog post here:
    www.writersadvice.blogspot.com
Re how we are poisoning our children.Legalised abuse.

    I also have this :
    www.problogs.com/Post3285.htm

re how Ritalin can cause brain damage and stunt growth (legalised drug abuse)

I will add another today or tomorrow on the dangers of labelling children (in error) as having mental health problems.
  12. You must be kidding!!!

Talking about Link Love and great places to leave your links and then using 'rel="nofollow"' in the links.

Here is my vote against abuse of inocent bloggers. Educate your self at NoNoFollow - nonofollow.net/11-reasons-against-nofollow/
    1. Putting aside that the benefit of this challenge is to raise awareness about serious topics and not to just gain backlinks... we will be posting all of the links on our blog as well as a new page dedicated to our bloggers unite project. several other bloggers will also be collecting links to place on their blog.
    2. I think it's a very sad commentary to worry about a linkback rather than the topic of abuse itself.
  13. The sad thing is . . . . there are so MANY abuse problems in so many areas. Will do my best and will be posting on both www.kwoq.com and www.bloggingauthors.com tomorrow.
  14. I've put up a preemptive banner and will be posting tomorrow as well. Thanks for the great idea.

  15. I've put up the banner few days ago (edited the original red to greenish to suit my blog's theme, hope this is ok). I've also scheduled my post to be live on the 27th.

    1. Ooooo-kay.

Interesting premise. I posted a link and micro-review at "Apathetic Lemming of the North." ( apatheticlemming.blogspot.com/ )

I can't complain. My own 'abuse' subject was far from the fiftieth percentile, too.
  23. I will be participating on my blog, sounds like a splendid opportunity. Since my blog is a Halloween blog, and it does seem to be a holiday for children, I will be blogging about Child Abuse.
    screamdream.wordpress.com/
    1. Read, and linked to.

      Looking forward to your post.
  24. The name of my post on the 27th will be 'An End To All Abuse'. Please come and see it at secretoflife.typepad.com

Good luck to everyone who is participating in this. I hope it helps to increase awareness of all these causes!

  29. I posted a day early, not knowing what my schedule might be like tomorrow. My entry is concerned with human rights abuse at Guantanamo. Sub Lumen is a political blog and doesn't pull many punches. The post is titled, "Just Stop It."
    www.sublumen.com/2007/09/just-stop-it.html

This is my first time to be involved in any sort of campaign like this. It's rather nice.
  30. I published a post in English on the role of parents in the abuse of alcohol by children on two blogs:

It's inspired by a quote from Albert Einstein, about how we humans need to change our thinking, to "widen our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
  37. Just posted to my blog www.balicare.org

Now, you can view my campaign for child abuse :

  39. I posted about several different types of abuse that have personal significance. You can find the post here: anitahavelsblog.blogspot.com
  40. What do you mean by "with any results"?
    1. Hey Mark,

Any results = traffic counts to the page, comments, links from others your post, etc. If you collect donations or send people to a place they can donate, that is good too. Anything you can think of. As I put on my blog: eg. 65 people visited this page. I had 5 comments, here's one example. And for very ambitious people ... I pooled $150 in donations or sent 50 people to some charity site. All of it good. I'll sort through the rest (well, not alone of course!)

We will not be putting much weight on measurement, but it might help us with the daunting task of picking a post if two are very close. Considering how great these are, it is no easy job to highlight a few.
    2. Okay. I'm not sure how much I'll get, because it will be on my tumblelog which has less traffic. Silly choice of blog? Well, that tumblelog is called "Miscellany from Past and Present." I can get away with it there. It has no place on my history blog or my Mac blog or my teaching blogs. Your reply did spark me to add questions to my draft for tomorrow.
    3. Great. Enter the contest anyway. Measure isn't necessarily just about traffic counts. And it really is just a small part. Anyway, I like that you are doing it on a tumbleblog. Since you created a tumbleblog group, I've become much more interested in them.
  41. In Australia it is already Bloggers Against Abuse day.
I've raised my post and included a Mr Linky meme for others to give their posts further coverage if they would like to:
    imaginif.com.au/~ima33724/blog/2007/09/27/imaginif-you-gave-a-blog-against-...
Together our blogging roar against child abuse will squeeze from cyberspace in. Silence no longer - child sexual abuse must end.
  42. Here's my post and support for Bloggers against abuse.

  45. Remember "DO SOMETHING"
    1. Read it.

Posted micro-review on "Apathetic Lemming of the North," with link.

      Important topic.
  46. Here's mine - I'll be at the gym tomorrow so I did it tonight while the mood was there:
    www.troll-baby.com/2007/09/26/always-one-foot-on-the-ground/
    1. Read it, posted a micro-review with link on "Apathetic Lemming..." and added the USA short ticker to that blog.

      Temporarily, at least.

The ticker's JavaScript make very heavy use of my laptop's resources, so I'll have to think about how to display the ticker and accommodate visitors with systems as limited as mine.

Excellent post, BTW. I appreciated having a specific to-do action.
    2. yeah, I like action steps. It's so easy to consider things and then never do anything about them, so giving people some simple things they can actually do will spur some to action, and some small few of those will achieve some inertia and keep acting.
  47. Hello All, I just did my post on domestic violence and I thank you deeply for this opportunity.

  62. You rock Sitepp and good for you for getting this ball rolling..

Damned right us flowers have posted, as promised as we yearn to see an end to all kinds of abuse but specifically, in our post we ask what is it that makes the victims of abuse protect their abusers identity?

Is it shame, love, fear or just ‘part of the dance of life’ that stops victims of domestic violence stopping the problem at the source? Do share your thoughts as this post makes it around the blogosphere……
