In my previous posts I mentioned about the measure to be taken to save our website from malicious iframe codes or java scripts. I scan my website regularly for iframe codes as I am blogging through my college PC (We usually call it a hub of viruses ). Remember steps given in “post title” so that you do not have to suffer from getting back-listed or red flag from Google.
There are many sources for free online virus scanning but only few of them offers a full scanning of the website. Almost all antivirus scans the website before loading it so you do not need to worry much about it. I recommend you to use Avast or Nod32 antivirus at your home.
Iframe can be found in any files at your website. Generally it resides in index.php, .htaccess, footer.php or similar files. It can be hidden so you will not be able to find it out by naked eye. Sometimes some javascripts also generates iframes, php files can generate javascripts which in turn generates iframe codes. It can also redirect your websites in some cases.
Below are few free online sources to check your website for iframe or such javascripts.
Novirsuthanks: Novirsuthanks is an amazing online security tool that offers an online website scanning and files scanning as well.
All you have to do is to type your website URL i.e.: techgenuine.com and wait for the scanner to complete the scan. If your website is affected with iframes or any malicious code it will show you the exact location of the iframe with malicious code(s). In my case one of my plugin was get affected by it, which I came to know by observing it properly. In most of the cases your index.php, .htaccess, footer.php, header.php or similar files will get infected.
Dasient: wam.dasient.com/wam is another good option to check your website for iframe and malicious codes (malware). The best part is you can sign-up for daily automatic scan which is free and paid as well. I recently signed up for their service. It will warn you when it will find any code. I recommend you to sign-up for this website.
Onlinelinkscan: onlinelinkscan.com Online link scan scans links for viruses, malware, spyware and Trojans. It is same as Novirsuthanks, all you have to do is to put the URL of your website and scan it.
Ste-scanner: site-scanner.com offers an online website scanning to its members. It offers a free membership also which let you scan 7 links per hour. It also alert you like Dasient when it founds any malicious code or script. It also offers “Remediation” which will help you to eliminate the problem from your website (I have never tried it but it sounds great, isn’t it?)
Geek-tools: tools.geek-tools.org/en/online-scan scans online websites and files for viruses, Trojans, worms and other exploits. It also offers some more tools for webmasters like site traffic details, Page-rank, DNS look up, DNS reverse look up, Open relay test, Speed test, server uptime and lot more.
Note: There are very less resources available for online website scanning. It doesn’t guarantee you that your website is safe from the hackers but it certainly reduces the chances. I recommend you to use Dasient and Site-scanner for best result.
