Minutes of Meeting:
The so important things discussed and considered in today's meeting are:
1. There will be a Hindi version of the website along with the primary English version. We unanimously decided that Ravi will think of the Hindi punch line for us.

2. Mohit will be revamping the cartoon - to denote the youth. That necessarily means that the old guy will be replaced with a cool dude on his laptop or something on similar lines.

3. Interactive content would be of prime importance on the website - I am going to do the content writing with Reet's assistance, so the rest three seeded this idea well in my mind. Audio Visual aids will be incorporated.

4. Ravi told us how he could help us to promote the website and the alliance in PU hostels and other channels like in MCM DAV through known persons placed there or through seminars and workshops.

5. We decided how we would write the Disclosure and Privacy Policy, Comments Policy and finally Terms and Conditions of Usage and Sharing. Creative Commons and GPL licenses would be secured.

6. One idea that came out of nothing in between the meeting (Thanks, Ravi) is to launch the website on the special date of 08/08/08. Now, that requires us to set up everything fast and good - so that we call all of you in, on 3rd August - that is a Sunday and finalize everything that would be important. We'll update you with more details.

7. Mohit and I will do the iCard design soon. Ravi will also try to make a poem specially for the launch occasion.

8. We decided to make Saurabh - the administrator of the forums. Saurabh, we invite your plan for the same. Tell us how you'll organize and order the sections. Saurabh will also look for bloggers from our region at Indiblogger and other communities and help bring them in.

9. Social Issues will be touched right from 15th August onwards. We also thought about adding a feature that allows anyone to submit photos or reports highlighting social issues - so that we can expose and invite remedial action from the regional administration.

10. This one is the most important. We discussed why a management is very necessary for C.B.A right from this initial stage. We have a great brain managing us already in the form of Shanker Bakshi, and if we get to do things in our own fashion - we'd have already freaked out and dropped.

All the people who were present on the first day have an equal contribution in the creation of this Alliance. Had there been one less, we wouldn't be here. You'll have to agree.

Again - you all know your roles. But someone needs to co-ordinate between them all, prevent a curry and specify who's doing what. This is only what we talked about.


Since the last 4 hours we are working on coming up with designations- all of us at one equal level. We'll update you as soon as possible because we haven't really officiated anything yet. Today's was just a personal review kind of thing.

  3. 8 is the symbol of infinity and thats the power and success I wish to CBA!
    I strongly appreciate the role played by Mr. Bakshi in managing all the shows so far.
    But yet, an army cannot win with the leader fighting alone.
    We all need to put in our best possible efforts in making our dreams & passion a success story that we can tomm feel proud of.
    Don't let go such great talent hub in waste.

  5. I could make a joomla module for people asking for personal assistance on setting up of blogs. The blogs can then be hosted on chandigarhbloggers.com as subdomains.. This will obviously increase our online presence..
  6. if you have heard of mu -wordpress tyhen you know we wont have to upload seperate files on separate directories everytime..
  7. anybody having catchall mail , maybe aneja sir ? we can provide a huge traffic on the launch day, if we can get hold of one...Most of the blogging communities dont have much of an online presence today so maybe we could fare better here.
    Please do reply if we actually need an online presence or not..got great ideas stuffed in here...
  8. also we can have a bi-weekly contest of the best bloggetr post..all bloggers will be allowed to submit their best post which will be rated by us and will be open to be rated by non - members too....the best one gets to author a post on chandigarhbloggers.com official blog and baclinks from the website.
  9. Gud work done.. keep the spirits high.. I was also thinking of 15 Aug. idea. Its good. we can also organise an event or nything like tht publicly for more publicity. Wht u say? nyone have ny idea about sending bulk mails to ppl? it will help to inc. our presence in no time...
    1. That would equal spamming. I won't like sending out bulk emails to people who aren't connected to us. Maintaining a mailing list is good otherwise..

  11. I say no to bulk mails. Possibilities are even if we send a bulk mail, only 2/3 out of 10 would actually read beyond first few lines. We need to hatch an ethical and catchy marketing strategy. wat say?
  12. I totally agree with "no bulk mails". Let's start our website with some nice and informative articles and believe me the results will be 100% positive. We have grown from 13 to 24 with no base so far, imagine what happens with a strong and helpful resource.

    Let's get together to discuss about where we are now and future plans and please don't forget about 8/8/8. Are we ready for the big day??
