Do you think Americans have done a good job in Iraq?
All opinions are welcome.

(I'm fed up with that security box, you've got. Three times and I still got it wrong, how am I supposed to tell the difference between an a and q when its collided with the next letter?) so for what its worth, here is my comment:
There is an old adage that seemed to have been forgotten by the Bush administration; "History and reflection of it teaches us the mistakes we made".
But hey, Bush must have missed his history class on Vietnam! As we know when people have nothing then ...
We learnt after the 911 attack, that people responsible for it had nothing and therefore were and likely still are, very willing to to do whatever it takes.
Looking at it another way, instead of killing people who have nothing, will often graciously accept cash or assistance of stepping out of inhuman conditions and or disabled economic plights.
Think of the billions spent on death in the light of spending half that on life. -
I do not think we should have gone over to Iraq like we did. We should have been more focused on Osama bin laden, he was after all public enemy #1. On the other hand my son did a 18 month tour in Iraq and I have a ton of pictures of the good that they (all the troops) have done over there. Children get to go to school. There is a democracy going on. So for me your questions are great ones but sort of hard to answer.
I am an old hippie I suppose you might say and I remember a patch I used to wear on my pants that read War is unhealthy for children and other living things. That pretty much says it. I would love for every single one of our sons and daughters, mothers, and fathers, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters to just come home now!
I realize it is not that easy, but I think its time to start getting them home.
Hell is war and war is hell.
I support our troops 100% and always will.
And as I always sign off,
PEACE!!!

No, it will only make things worse.. When war breaks out, it will bring on more wars. People wants revenge, people retaliate, people are filled with hatred. War is not the best way to solve a problem.

As i said, war is wrong, we make love, not war. -
No, I don't think we should have gone to war in Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and didn't have weapons of mass destruction as we were told.
The war was about oil, in my opinion. Not us getting the oil but keeping the oil in the ground.
I have a post on my blog about it: mountainsageblog.com/2008/07/22/the-high-price-of-gas-and-how-we-are-being-...
I believe our military has done the best job they could under the circumstances. It breaks my heart that they have had to buy their own armor. And I find it reprehensible that they were sent into harms way based on a lie.
