EFT Help My Son Sleep'

Most parntscan tell you what it's like to have a child who can get to sleep. As a mum I find it vitally important to have my time at night. My son is seven years old. He's a real live wire, which is brilliant during the day. Most of the time he has a very good bedtime routine. Unfortunately during the summer months it becomes virtually impossible to stick with a routine. His sleep is the first thing to go. He can't switch off and even though I put him to bed at a sensible time, he contanstly comes back through and disturbs me or shouts out for this and that. His behaviour also suffers as he is not getting anywhere near enough sleep. I suffer because I'm not getting switch off time I need.
This all addsup to an unhappy family.

I was recently introduced to EFT (emotonal freedm techniques). I wasn't sure about it to start but I decided to give it a go.

We tapped together once he was in bed on reasons he didn't want to go to bed. I then left him and continued to tap for him. I had to put him back to bed a couple of times. Each time I calmly put him back in bed gave him a kiss and ten left the room and tapped again for him.

We have been tapping with his sleep issues for a week nowand h's getting himself off to sleep quickly and calmly.
We are now a much happier family.

We are nurturing 2 kids in their teens, another two (twins) who are 12 (pre-teens) and an 11 year old. Wow...noone told us...

It is not a bad experience. It's just different. God's grace and patience sure come in handy.

I have been working outside the home for over 15 years while raising two beautiful girls with my husband. I have been in several different work environments – the office, outside sales, and the on the road, traveling. Each had their perks and pitfalls, but all of them had one factor that stayed the same, lack of work/life balance. Feeling like I can’t get it all done, not giving enough time and energy to my family, no time for me and of course, a dirty house to go along with it all. Uggh!! What is work/life balance, really? You can ask your HR rep, your pastor, your best friend – all the answers will be different. I really don’t have the answer, to the “big question” of work/life balance, but I am starting to chip away at the edges.

My request; over the next couple of months, I invite you to join me in taking short surveys (1st one posted Jan.11th in MomsViewIs.com), so that I might better understand and share some ideas/solutions on how working Moms manage their work/life balance.

We really enjoy cooking with our son. It's a special bonding moment and it also helps encourage creativity. Every weekend he looks forward to waking us up & dragging us out of bed (so early in the morning, why don't kids sleep in on the weekends?). But once up we get started & really enjoy making a mess in the kitchen of course I'm always left to do the cleaning but it's worth it. :)
