LOST 4.09 - "The Shape of Thing To Come"

I know I was sad to see Alex go. Did you guys expect that? Also, how many times are we gonna get promised to learn what the smoke monster is? Either I didn't pay close enough attention, or they jipped us again.

    Well, I don't think they told us WHAT it was, but it was clearly some weapon of Ben's people's creation and under their control, don't you think? Or do you think that he just had it captive?

    First of all, thanks for keeping things updated during my unannounced absent.

    Second, I believe that Smokey is summoned rather than controlled, and I think it has something to do with whats behing the hieroglyphic door.
