Collective Blogging Activity for BC Graphic Design Group Member

I have an idea to start a new blogging activity for the members of the group.
Maybe we can have monthly or biweekly graphic design submission pool with different theme each time it is started.
Let say, if there are 10 members of blogger who are interested to join. We are going to set their participation randomly by month or biweekly round to be the hosted blog for the submission entries.
If this month's theme is to create a decorative picture of an eye. Then everyone who would like to join must submit their design entry (with his or her blog url) to the blogger who has been chosen to be the hosted blog for the month.
I want to know your comment and feedback to this idea
or just say if you are interested to join somehow!

    I'm interested, but need a little clarification. By graphic design do you mean any type of design or are you thinking something more professional? When we host the challenge can our readers join in, or will it be just for the members of this group? I'm loving this idea!

    I think it would b great to invite your blog reader to join as well..but please mention and link on this group, as more members means that this group is alive The idea is to showcase everyone skill and talent. It doesn't have to be a pro graphic design..maybe the entry can be a process of a newbie experiment to learn advance technique...anything that will expressing your sense of art in graphic design..or simple stuff that has developed from creativity.
    If we start it, I guess monthly timeline is better than biweekly round. Because we can spend more time to promote it in a blog post and everyone can submit a design without worrying so much about the deadline. Have your say? Are we going to start it in June, or based on the date?
    Who is going to moderate this showcase monthly challange? How should we call this event?

      Maybe a name like "GraphicFlux". I like the June start to give everyone enough time to settle into it, finish up current projects and relax into pure creative time. As for moderation, maybe as much hands off as possible, just some gentle guidance and help with functionality of submittals and posts on the host site. Overall fantastic idea!

    GraphicFlux sounds so great ..
    I will blog about this challange to have more feedback before June. Hopefully when we get everything set on June..I hope all the participants also write a post on their blog to let more readers in. The hosting blog author for the submission entry colects the entries sent by email (with few lines of description and submiter's site url) and several days after the deadline, the blog author will post all the entries in a list of design showcase .. but what if the list getting longer and longer?? Just a thought..
