Matthew chapter 8. vs. 16-17
*
When the even was come they brought unto Him many that were possessed of devils and He cast out the sirits with His word and healed all that were sick that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying, Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses
*
If He bare them how can we be baring them? Before evangelicals can deny that God has provided for us in the atonement that Jesus has made for us at calvary the healing of our sick bodies along with the healing of our sick souls they must first deny the integrity of God's word. For this scripture from St. Matthews gospel clearly teaches that He did.
Isaiah was not expressing a personal wish or desire, he was writing down the words of prophesy as God gave them to him concerning the atonement Jesus would aaccomplish for us on our behalf.
Everything Jesus did on the cross was for us.
He had no sin-He bore our sins
He had no sicknesses-He bore our sicknesses
He had no death. only life-He bore our death, He died for us.
That it was God's word is proved by the fact they came to pass in the ministry of Jesus as recorded in Matthews gospel and when Isaiah wrote down his prophecy the Spirit of God burned into him these words SURELY [you can be certain] He hath carried our infirmities and borne our diseases.
This is not something you have to beg God for, this is a revelation that must be birthed in you, dwell upon it my friends, see Jesus tied to the cruel whipping post, crowned with thorns, hung by nails on the tree.
You say "but He didn't deserve to die, He committed no sin. The wages of sin is death, but I was the sinner,I deserved to die." that's right but He loved you, He took your place, He died for you.

Say this prayer
*
Thank You Jesus that You loved me,
You did not want to see me die
You wanted me to live
You wanted for me to be well and free
You willed for me to have Your peace
You wanted for me to know gladness of heart.
You wanted me to live.
I do not understand it Lord but I accept it and I thank you for it.
I make the exchange, I give You my old sinful life and I recieve Your new life now. amen.
