Home Improvement

I was just interested in finding out why you are interested in either doing your own home improvements or learning to do your own home improvement or just wishing that you could do your own home improvements.

1. Is it to feel good about getting the job done and a sense of accomplishment?

2. Is it just so that you do not have to rely on a pro?

3. Is it to save money?

4. Is it something else that I have not mentioned here?

  1. What about the four of them combined, in different proportions?
    1. That's funny Alex! There is nothing wrong with that though.
  2. We do our own home improvements mostly to save money, but also to feel good about getting the job done and have a sense of accomplishmen.
    1. Hi Debbie, I think that is how most people look at it. I like the feel of accomplishment and there is nothing wrong with saving some money. I do however want to make sure that nobody gets in over their head by doing their own work no matter what the reason. In fact I wrote a post about this, youronlinehandyman.com/2008/09/warning-why-you-should-not-get-in-over-your-... Scott
