Who's your favorite comedian?

That's a tough one for me....it has to be between Lenny Bruce, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor...and alot of the old comics...

  1. My favorite was and still is the late great George Carlin...we're going to miss him.
  2. My favorite comedian....wow that's a toughie. I probably have to go with Paul Mooney, Dave Chapelle and a recent addition Lisa Lampanelli.
  3. My Favorite comedian is Jerry Lewis
Present time comedian are sooo many - Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, Eddie Murphy ( The list just goes on and on:)
  4. George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Robin Williams.
  5. George Carlin is up there for me too. The newer guys, maybe Louis CK, Chris Rock and George W. Bush. I'm almost completely convinced that Bush is just doing a character and it's some kind of really committed satire. As soon as he's out of office, we'll find out he's like Sacha Baron Cohen from the Ali G show. Sure, we'll all be a little bit upset with him over everything but we'll laugh too because he fooled us.
    1. I happen to know for a fact that you don't find Bush nearly that funny, lol. I mean, you could have said, oh, I dunno, Matt-ME for instance? Do you really like Bush over me? I mean, really?

    4. Oh, now I know what I'm ducking-a purse. lol
  6. Oh great question, but I have a few
    Sarah Silverman
    Ricky Gervais
    Chris Rock
    Sacha Baron Cohen
Amy Sedaris...she writes and acts...hilarious! Jerri Blank forever!
  7. Choose one? I have a soft spot in my heart for Carlin--see my post about meeting him personally:

A few years back, Steve Odekirk onstage knocked me over. Among the classics, Bob Newhart's dryness is inimitable. And Bob and Ray's surreal dryness was also inimitable. These days, Jon Stewart isn't precisely a comedian in this context, but I never miss him.
  8. @TCRazzi-You're so right about Ricky Gervais! Speaking of Sedarises, I love Amy's brother David.Although not technically a comedian, I laugh out loud at his books. I also love Jim Gaffigan.
  9. Ron White - first time I saw him I lost the ability to inhale.
  10. The Marx Brothers, George Carlin, Lucille Ball, Art Carney, Monty Python, Gilda Radner, and though not technically a comedian, John Lennon.
  11. It changes from time to time. It would be too difficult to say just one. But I'm particularly enjoying Dimitri Martin and Zack Galifinakis at the moment.
  12. Doug Stanhope is good and I love Adam Sandler.
  13. George Carlin, Larry White, Chris Rock, Stephen Lynch, Kathy Griffin, Lisa Lampanelli, and the list goes on.
