A custard pie for people that use snopes.com as their source. Hello! Who died and made them God? Do your own research and don't be so lazy.
-
A big messy pie in the face to people who use "apostrophe + s" to pluralize words. I see examples of this everywhere and it drives me bonkers (or is that "bonker's"??). Ker-splat!
-
A big fat existential custard pie for the vagaries of youth - Splat!!
One of Frog's young friends spent a week in Paris with her family over Easter. We asked her what fun things she had been upto:
"we went to some art museum and saw that armless statue thing."
This from an eleven year old who goes to a very expensive private school - we had to laugh, but we sighed deeply too..... -
Oh Oh Oh!!! Spammers and bad grammar in one hit! Superb effort. Please feel free to keep on throwing....

And a custard pie to the shoe industry, who expects us all to fit in one average size, plus/minus two!
An army of small- and bigfoots out there is ready for the revolution!
(Thanks for the idea, Bimmy)-
Indeed, the shoe industry and all those other large corporates who want us al to be "average".
We couldnt be average if we tried - at anything! We strive to be superlatively frogtastic or downright shoddy. (Never shoddy at work of course!! only in private) There is no middle ground!
An extra gloopy custard pie therefore at average-ness and all those who promulgate it.
Isn't this a fab place? We NEVER get to use words like "promulgate" on the frogblogdoglog.
-
Ah Cloudine, those Walmart people can be very cunning.
We havent got a word to say against them at the moment, as one of their UK subsidiaries are (cross our whiskers) about to put in a very pleasant order for a consignment of Frog the Dog books and merchandise for seven of their stores.
But some of us have suffered, yes suffered and suffered badly at the hands of the shoe industry, and our brows are marked with sorrow because of it....see the Banana blog for the gory details!

I'm not quite sure what has come over me this morning, I dont usually sound this ridiculous, do I???? -
A custard pie for people who happen to walk behind you, and when you open a door to enter a busy place and you hold it for them so it won't hit them on their face, they just stride past without saying thank you!
Smile, people, it won't kill you. We're busy too, you know.-
Oh, so people do that to you as well? The world really is a small place.
Don't get out the champers just yet Banana, we have to wait a couple of weeks yet to hear for definite, but the supermarket are VERY keen. We shall just have to read the very very small print very very carefully!
We shall be announcing it formally with a flourish, no doubt. Or maybe with over-excitement and lots of shouting
Promulgate away! We're off to London this weekend to watch the marathon. She of the long feet (see Banana blog as above)is running, and we can't help but wonder whether her very long feet will put her at an unfair advantage at the finishing line. so at last her ridiculously long feet might help her in some small way!
Cant you just picture it? She would certainly overtake young Marina with her tiny size 2.5 !!

mmm. I'm throwing my custard pie (and a rock) at people who rewrite other people's contest entries...and do better than the original! Freaking plagiarizers.
Happened to me twice. -
Even in the midst of fun and endeavour, there is always room to throw a yellow splatty one at the less than well thought out idea.
Imagine our delight this last weekend when we were hoofing it about in the big smoke (London) when we found out that we could text the long footed one's running number to get a link to the website that would tell us where our dear one would be along the course, at regular intervals.
Fabulous!
As Team Long foot departed to disperse to given points along the route, we carefully positioned ourselves at various mile points.
What a shame therefore that the tracking device was operating in Kilos. (Or do we mean kilometers?)
Who can do those kind of conversion sums in their heads whilst standing in the rain panicking that they might have missed their offspring longfooting it past unwatched?
A custard pie for the person/machine responsible for deciding to use kms and not miles!! -
This weekends custard pie has to be for the vagaries of the English weather. It's SPRING for goodness sake - where IS the sunshine??
I've been waiting ALL WINTER to get the new soft hood for my little car to be fixed, and now we need to get outside and fit the thing IT'S RAINING!!!
Take THAT, you perverse English weather you!!!! -
A big foul castard pie each for the BC bloggers who have asked for a review or link exchange on my blog, but failed to return the favour.
-
Today I am throwing a custard pie at myself for not being on Blogcatalog a bit more often - I miss you guys!
The truth is, there is suddenly a lot of rather good tv, and lots of lovely sunny evenings, so between the two, I am glued to the moving picture box, or out watering the weeds.
Want to know what I'm watching?? -
Oh, I'll have to custard pie myself for the same reason! I'm just getting caught up here and am so excited to know if the supermarket deal is happening - that is soooooo amazing!
I'd love to know what you're watching BtB! I am still following Lost, although my enthusiasm is waning. I'm absolutely loving Battlestar Galactica, and I think I know who the last of the final five is *wink*. Finally, I highly recommend Big Bang Theory, a hilarious nerd comedy. Between this, all the summer blockbusters and gardening, how can a girl be expected to blog??
-
Oh, completely frogtastic to hear from you Sherbert!
Indeedy, how CAN a girl keep up with so much to keep her occupied elsewhere??
Isn't it fascinating to learn what other people like to watch?
We watch big Bang Theory too - though a slight custard pie moment for me for snoozing (snoring?) all through last weeks episode - which was of course (reportedly) very funny. Dang.
It's great to find out who's watching what on different continents too -
tonight - second series of HEROES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness - how very scary is that Sylar????
Last night - The Apprentice. Am completely glued to this! I only started watching the series after watching the Donald Trump programme a couple of years back. This season is the fourth, and it's just compulsive viewing, from both a business and entertainment point of view.
Then friday nights are so packed we have to get the dvd recorder out - but we watch Dirty Sexy Money. Wasnt sure at first, but now we are hooked. OMIGOD what a nest of vipers! Have you seen it??
I dont know when we shall find the time to see the new Indiana Jones film....
Oh, and we are still talking to the supermarket buyers - they are very keen, but negotiating shelf space - ERK! The strain of waiting....
Having said all that, I am now off to glamorous London for the weekend! Yet another of our brood has decided to get married, so a fun weekend of looking at potential venues and trying on big frocks awaits. How fab! Frog and McAndy get to stay at home and fix things, whilst I swan off to have a girlie weekend with my girlies.
Anyone else for a custard pie at time management skills?? -
Hey Buddy haven't seen you for AGES. How is life at the dog lovers cafe?
Still serving up German Shepherd Dog Pie?? -
Yo, custard pie fans!
Recently I heard of a traditional custard pie contest being banned on Elfin Safety grounds.
Well, they shouldn't have planned to have their contest in fairyland, should they?
This news items led me to look up the noble art of pie throwing on google - well - try it yourselves, planty of pie contests going on thank goodness!
But my fave entry has to be for the Monster Raving Loony Party.
www.omrlp.com/index.php?page=manifesto-proposals
I didn't find what they had to say about custard pies as I was so distracted by all their other eminently sensible suggestions in their manifesto.
So this week's custard pie is for all those very TEDIOUS mainstream parties who wear us down with their dreary politics.
Monster Raving Loonies - maybe not so raving after all! -
-
Oh those self important ones - bad bad bad.
I sniff a story here my Banana-ish friend, do tell!
I was thinking about your comment earlier and decided it would be good to add something disgusting like anchovies, to slide down the face slowly, and then I thought, custard pies are all very well and cartoon-esque (as are we all here) but which foods would be truly unpleasant to throw at that VERY irritating prig?
What would you throw?
(maybe there's a blog post in this - there you go Banana - you can have that one for free!)
What food would you throw to let someone know that they had REALLY displeased you?
-
-
Well a very squishy pie in my own face for neglecting my group.
Maybe I have just been so busy enjoying myself I forgot to rant - whatever is happenening to me?
So let's catch up a little - surely a well deserved pie at anyone who thinks that self publishing is automatically inferior to main stream publishing. The music industry applauds it's indy tradition, but not so the book world - see my post "A Bad review for Frog the Dog" on the Reading Hero blog.
An extra gloppy custard pie at literary pretension and snobbishness - how last century is that??!
There, that feels a bit better, i might have to lob some more soon though, it's SO therapeutic
Anyone else? Come one, you cant pretend there's nothing in your life that irritates you! -
Something that gets on my nerves QUITE A LOT and sometimes several times a day, is an aspect of googlemail.
Its a physical impossibility to stay signed in to gmail whilst signing in on another tab to blogger with a google email.
Add to that my several gmail accounts related to my domain names and it all gets REALLY RIDICULOUS!
Googlemail, have a custard pie for not letting me be signed in everywhere at once!
Am i the only one that gets annoyed by this? -
Usually I am a very well mannered person.
Usually.
But there are times when I GET QUITE CROSS.
Like today when we got a letter from the local police, complete with full colour pamphlet, telling us that they had noticed (on a particular time and day) that we had left our sat nav HOLDER (NOT the sat nav) on clear view in the windscreen of our car, (outside our house) and we should be aware that someone might pinch it.
Really, has the world gone QUITE mad??
A whacking great custard pie for the bright spark who thought up that initiative that is really wasting police resources. Doh! -
Oh yes, a perennial fave, the noisy neighbours - go pie, go! Wing your custardy way to splat splat splat on the faces of the noisesome ones!
And apologies to all our neightbours who have to put up with the celebrity dog barking at ridiculous times of the early morning because he had a bad dream.... or something.
