METTABLOG - A Humble Newbie Site In Social Bookmarking And Community Building

Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata.

In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.

Today there are many well known online communities and social bookmarking sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Technorati, Del.icio.us, etc.

But at the same time, there are also going numbers of 'relative new' and 'smaller scale' social booking and community sites in the online world.

One of the 'newbie' is WWW.METTABlOG.COM. It does not have fancy features like the big boys, but provide a basic platform for the purpose of social bookmarking and community building.

Below is the explanation about domain name "METTABLOG" and its introduction:

"Metta", as extracted from wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metta), means "unconditional and unattached loving kindness". It also signifies friendship and non-violence as well as "a strong wish for the happiness of others", but also less obvious or direct qualities such as showing patience, receptivity, and appreciation.

It is with this spirit in mind that this "MettaBlog", a mini site for community Blogging or bookmarking is being created.

Let this be the platform for all people over the world to make friends, exchange information, introduce tips pertaining to Internet Marketing, etc.
