Starting from today onwards, I will be attempting a personal goal of hitting an amazing 1,000 subscribers in 100 days which means that I must hit the target by December 12.

I feel that goals are important as they give you the energy and the power to guide you to the path of success. I feel that nothing is impossible and must be persistence and proactive in order to achieve our goals.

My current subscriber count hovers around 100 as of September 1, which means that I would need to have 900 readers subscribing to my blog in only 100 days to go.

Need Advice From The Veterans'

I will be separating from the military in a week and have yet to a good job offer. Now is not the best time for me to be applying for the kind of jobs that I want as the new fiscal year is right around the corner and most companies are in the process of bidding on the up coming contracts.

My wife suggested that I do some freelance blogging and start our own blog in an attempt to make a little extra cash to offset the financial burden we are about to face.

My question is: Is this feasible without doing some uber-niche blog?

Also, if you have ANY advice, suggestions or what not please please feel free to shoot them my way

1) Adsense. No question it's the best.

2) AdBrite. Maybe makes 1/4 of Adsense.

3) Toldya.com - Custom made affiliate widgets that can be added to any post or the the back of a video. Portable estores. I use the Amazon one and get people to buy what the post is about.

Hi guys, my name is Xavier and I am a 14-Year-Old blogger who is willing to share my tech knowledge with readers around the world.

I started blogging since July and amazingly managed to attract 11,000 visitors and 100 subscribers with an Alexa rank of 238,954. My weekly rank is 77,575!

So how do I do it? I commented on high-traffic sites such as Labnol and TechCrunch and managed to gain quite a great amount of traffic from there.

Digg and StumbleUpon also make up a proportion of my traffic. Besides these, I tried using Entrecard and blogging social networking sites such as BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog.
