I can't beleive this one hasn't been posted yet. What pets do you have? And any funny/fun stories? And for those fo you who have a blog about your pets or pets in general, please, feel free to post it in your reply. Let's start sharing our love of pets, and doing by sharing the pets we love most: ours.

I have a pit bull mix (that's what the shelter had him listed as) named Barney. He's a big goof who sleeps and licks too much. I also have two cats (one short haired ginger and one long hairded tuxedo), two rats, and a leopard gecko.

What are the things you look for in a good pet food?

All-natural and organic are labels I like to see. When I created my Crabotanicals line of land hermit crab food, it was important for me to be free of preservatives and to include wild-harvested leaves and bark into the diet to mimic what hermit crabs would find in the wild.

I feel it is very important to join a forum when you buy a pet. I have hermit crabs and I am an active member on several hermit crab forums. I have a red husky and joined a forum for that. I think it has helped me deepen my appreciation for the fascinating animals I care for and has aided me in knowing how to care for them. Does anyone out there feel like the brief instructions you get from a petstore are really inadequate for the pets you keep?
