I just thought I should add another reply here, to remind you all of this photography / environment opportunity.

Next Monday is Blog Action Day. After almost two months of being online, a reminder has gone out to more than 7,500 bloggers with many, many, more signing up daily!

Since launch not only have thousands of bloggers pledged to post, but the initiative has also been featured in the press - including Wired Magazine. Huge blogs like Lifehacker have committed to participating, some very large organisations like the United Nations Environmental Programme, the Opera Community and social portal Reddit have pledged to promote it and the momentum is still building!

Here are some goodies. There is a video, and the community of eYeka have photos and videos that are freely available for bloggers to use on the day.

I would like to call your attention to Blog Action Day on October 15th. This may be a wonderful opportunity to use your pictures of any environment-related subject that you may have. Here is some more information:

On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. The aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future.

Here’s what you have to do to join in:

Publish on October 15th
Publish a post on your blog which relates to an issue of your own choice pertaining to the environment.

For example: A blog about money might write about how to save around the home by using environmentally friendly ideas. Similarly a blog about politics might examine what weight environmental policy holds in the political arena.

The aim of Blog Action Day is not to promote one particular viewpoint, only to push the issue on the table for discussion. So write in whatever way suits your readers and your blog, just relate it back to the environment and make sure it goes up on October 15th.

Other things you can do
You can also participate in Blog Action Day by posting a banner on your site (http://blogactionday.org/promote) or by donating your day’s blog earnings to an environmental charity of your choice.
