Fixing an overexposed sky in photosop.'

Over the last week or so I've been working on some photos that i took in samoa to post on my blog (atticusthird.wordpress.com) only problem is that while i was there there was a lot of overcast days that led to some very white very flat very blown out skies.

I've been experimenting with colour select filters and channel mixing with varying levels of success, does anyone have any suggestions as to how i could go about fixing the sky in these shots?

Hi all,

I have recently started to do some photography for people running corporate events in Windhoek, Namibia. I have worked as a tour guide and taking pictures of wildlife and landscapes are rather easy (in terms of good light anyway) but I am finding the low level of light at functions really hard to deal with. I end up shooting at a high ISO and/or shallow depth of field just to try to capture the action going on.

Does anyone have:
1. Experience with this business
2. Good tips
3. Good tutorial like posts on their blog relating to shooting functions like this.

Thoughts on the new Canon 7D?'

So Ive been holding off buying a Canon 5D MkII. I dont need the video, and I am not too impressed with the high ISO noise. Also I am now hearing that the weather sealing on it could be a little better.

Then I hear they are coming out with the 7D. Its supposed to have better ISO and better weather sealing.

Perfect!

But no full frame.

GAH! What a disappointment. Looks like I will be sticking with my 50D until I can get the 5D. I really want a full frame.

What do you think?
