  1. i enjoy an exotic pie. Currently it's chicken, feta, and spinach. In the past it was almost always Hawaiian.

  5. I am pizza and pizza is me. I love it and could eat it every day. My favorite, at the moment, is pepperoni garlic with some chopped up jalepenos sprinkled every so gently on top. Sizzling, spicey love in a box.

  7. Thursday is pizza day at this house. For us, that's a sort of hamburger-and-beet-juice mix topped with cheese.

    Sounds weird, I know: but we like it. I do, anyway. And it doesn't have a name.
    1. beet juice?!? You mean like, red beet?

      Brian, I have to admit that's a totally new one on me -- and I've had a lot of funny pizzas in a lot of funny places.

      So, is this peculiar to your family, or is it a Minnesota special? I just have to know...
    2. I checked. Actually, the pizza topping involves ground meat, (red) beets, carrots, and pumpkin.

      And, I like it.

      It's not a Minnesota or regional dish. My wife found the idea in a book on dealing with allergies. There are advantages to being 'alternatively tolerant' to foods.

  8. The best pizza is plain margherita.
    Preferably eaten at a small restaurant in Italy.
  9. My favorite pizza changes with the mood I'm in.

    My newest favorite is called the Atilla: it's made with arrugula, gorgonzola, mozzaella, and pistachios.

    It's a winner.

  10. Yum, the best pizza is one with loads of mozzerela, tomatoes, mushrooms, tons of garlic, spinach, and brocolli.

  16. If it's NY Style, Pepperoni with ricotta.
    Chicago or thick crust, I like a "meat lovers" type of pie.
  17. It all depends upon my mood. Sometimes I am really in the mood for a Hawaiian pizza, then other times I like them loaded with the works. At other times(especially when I am on the road)I like to stop and get a plain slice to go.

    *Sometimes adding Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni and Beef instead of the Seafood.

  19. Pepperoni most of the time... if I go somewhere that has supreme without huge chunks of tomato then I go for it.

  22. Absolutely, positive a white clam pizza (no cheese) cooked in an authentic brick oven at Pepe's Pizza in New Haven, Connecticut's Little Italy neighborhood.

  24. My DH loves Chicago style, with pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives usually. I prefer just cheese (the horror!) with a buttery parmesan crust or with pepperoni. I also like a blt type pizza, with bacon bits and tomatoes.
