I hate movie theaters. They're always too crowded, too expensive, and I always get seated in front of the people who won't shut up. But I love movies.
So, a while back, I saved up to buy a nifty TV. I DVR movies in HD I want to watch again and again.
My latest obsession is Dream Girls, which I put on in the evenings when I work out. The music gets me moving!
What movies are you hooked on lately?

I like anything on the Criterion Collection. Also artsy fartsy ones, foreign and small releases. I go through phases... sometimes I don't rent DVDs for months and only go to the theatre. I would tell you what my most recent DVD watches are but this is a religion free zone.
Also... love the Architect series. -
I hate movie theaters too, I got some old favourites of mine for Christmas.
So Princess Bride, The Goonies, Planes, Trains and Automobiles have been watched a lot.
I have also gotten some Anime films off my cousin that I have really enjoyed.
Oh watched Casino Royale and was impressed by Daniel Craig, his acting was good to

Having finished the book Memoirs of a Geisha ages ago, I have finally gotten the dvd. So will have to see if I like it as much as the book.
Anyone seen it yet? -

During the holiday season Brian and I kept up our usual tradition of watching "Love Actually". We both love that movie.
Lately, we have been more into documentaries and have been working our way through the BlueRay versions of Planet Earth (narrated by Richard Attenboro).
Has anyone seen the movie adaptation of The Kite Runner? I finished the book a week or so ago and its still in theaters here so I'm debating going to see it.-
David Attenborough, Richards brother (I love him)
That series is amazing

As for movie/book connections... i'm going backwards on The Golden Compass... it was a fun movie... not the best ever... but I just started reading the book to see where the author originates his humanistic/atheist view.
enough said.
