Can anyone recommend a good new camera?'

Hi all
I've been really working on my street photography from cities around the world (http://artofthecity.blogspot.com) and I am in need of a camera upgrade that would suit my style of shooting.

I currently use a Canon 350D with either a 50mm or the bog standard lens it came with. I've seen another blog whose style I love where the photographer uses a Leica M8 but think that's a little out of my price bracket for now... Can anyone recommend a good midpoint between the two?!

I just started to research groups with the theme of photography and the name "Shutter Addicts" really caught my attention.

Please, take a look at my photoblog. Maybe throw some thoughts my way about what you like/dislike about it.

As for my camera. I'm using a Canon SX100 IS. It's not the best camera in the world, but it's better than having just a point and click. Oh, and most of the time I adjust the settings myself, because I'm trying to get better with it.

My goal is to get a better camera sometime later in the year, but right now money is tight. (I'm sure that most of you are also feeling the same way.)

Hi all!

I'd be interested to know what SLR's you all use (if you do) and why you chose it?
I'd like to write an entry to my site about what makes people choose which SLR and why, helping (hopefully!) making the decision easier for others in turn...

I use a Fuji S5 Pro, becuase it came in right on budget and does almost everything I want, except its a little slow on the Continous shooting side of things. Previously I've had Canons, and Ive switched to this as Canon simply offer nothing comparable for the price that is avaliable from new.

Let me know what you chose- and why!

I was curious as to how many of you have shot at some interesting locations. A far away country or in your backyard. Share it with us and give us all the details. I would say in my travel I have been to many places. From Kuwait to Okinawa to Guatemala to Honduras. Most of my work is not posted on my website but I have seen some very interesting things.
