Making Technorati "Fav-ing" Painless

It seems a lot of threads are being spawned by bloggers asking others to add them to their Technorati favorites. I've been trying to participate in several of these, hoping for mutual benefit. The results I'm getting so far are a little disappointing -- about 50% of the people I've added have added me back.

There's a sweet little free utility available that virtually automates the process of adding to yours everyone who has added you. Find it at:

I've just started using it and I love it. Run it daily or as often as you choose and it quickly catches you up.

Having said that, here's my pitch. Add me to your faves and I will definitely, automatically reciprocate. Hopefully you'll post in this thread to say that you'd added me and the next person to visit will add both of us, and so on. That will help keep the thread fresh and on the front page of this group's discussions for a while.

    cewl program! I am using it too now. A little odd that it also added people who didn't add me as a fav site in the first place but had a link on their site to my blog. Oh well, if they are having a link to my site they deserve a fav anyway

      If I don't mistake, I understood that if you'll get hundreds of fan, you can be listed within the top 100 favored blogs, therefore you'll receive more traffic.

    You have to download this to your computer and run it daily and it picks up the people who added you and automatically adds them back when you run the program. Anyone who adds me automatically gets added, all should do this.

      uh, normally I'm €1500 a day.... but since this is hobby I would not charge anyone for it ofcourse, but I do not have the time, sorry.

      But I can send you the very simple sourcecode of kijker.tv/ its a scraper which transforms pages of the social network hyves into rss with some simple regex matches. So this is even simpler, only match the technorati ones, output them but.... then adjust the perl code to check against this list.

      ok let me see how far i get this night, let me check if i can see this page if im logged out, would make it even simpler.

      You missing people out of this script and really messing up some people that have been doing this for some time. I know for sure I am in a number of different threads and none of my stuff appear anywhere in your list.

      I am sure this is ture for many folks here as well as the new folks posting. When I looked at you post I would have assumed it was the whole list here. That is simply not the case. Please edit your post or delete it.

      I am sure you meant well but it's messing with the people that actually fav people back. If they are left off the list we all lose.

    I keep getting messages from this thread that people have added the people on this page. I go in and take a look at my Technorati profile and no one else has faved.

    The way the tool works is is you have faved me and I run it. It Automaticaly faves you back. If your just finding this thread do the work and fav the folks here. When they run the tool you will be faved back. If you don't Fav first you are wasting your time posting.

    Here is my link again. If you fav my blogs I will return the favor. I run the tool whenever my number goes up.

    You know what would really help? How about adding the title of your blog and a short description of what it's about?

    I've added most (but not all) of the ones listed above. Sorry, but I have a really hard time adding blogs that I can't even imagine having any kind of interest in. Some of the blogs aren't even in English!

    Am I missing the boat here or is everybody just adding favorites for the sake of getting fav'ed back? Am I being too discriminating?

    I downloaded the software and added the top 7/8 of the list. After a couple weeks I still had only about 20 more fans. So I deleted a lot of favs and re-ran the software (I had maxed out on faves).
