Hello there! My blog is www.skull-trail.com and its about open source software, high end computer hardware and videogames. I love programming, graphics design, playing videogames, day dreaming about kickass business models and innovation, listening to metal and reading anything that interests me. I'm currently doing my Masters in Management and Economics of Innovation from Sweden. (Pakistan)

I have only been a blogger for two months. I never knew that I would enjoy it so much...but my grammar.............well I hope being in this group will help!

Hi! My blogs are Proof Positivity proofpositivity.blogspot.com
My Thoughts mythoughts-ssb.blogspot.com
and The Heart of a Mom theheartofamomtjb.blogspot.com
PP is about positive news
Thoughts are my thoughts
Heart of a Mom is my grams poetry poetry book
I guess I'm here because my grammer is poor.
For a minute I thought I was being singled out. (USA) -
Robert Stevenson, if your middle name is Louis, I have some books I'd like you to sign. After that, if you could point me towards the Fountain of Youth you've obviously been snorkleing around in, that'd be great.
Anyway, my bog is Coquetting Tarradiddles (coqdiddles.blogspot.com) and it's basically about me. I realized that I really have only ever written about me, in one way or another, so why not just be up front about it? It started out as my penalty for losing a bet, but it's turned out to be a lot of fun. I was very anti-blog for a long time, but I've found a lot more freedom with the format than I have elsewhere.
It's nice to see a group concerned about grammar, especially in the age of the Internet and cell phone text messaging. -
Oh, and my blog is probably offensive. I don't mean it to be, it's just the way it is. I try to stay "on-topic" but every now and then I'll throw in a different type of entry, just to add some variety and give me something different to ramble on about. I get into some dicey subjects, and I try to make them poignant while keeping things funny. I don't know if I always succeed, but I probably do - because I rock. Or something.
-
Are you trying to tell me something? Just kidding! I do try to keep my grammer in check, but, you know, things happen; run on sentences happen.
I'm from Canada, my blog, "When Choo Choo Blogs..." is part photo blog, part musings, part every day life: apps.choochoophotography.com/blog/ -
I'm too busy for another group, but bad grammer is a pet peeve of mine, especially among politicians and newscasters, supposedly the "educated elite." Thanks for inviting me.
What do I do next?

Hey everyone,
My name is Charles Lumia and I'm from the United States. My Blog is called Various Thoughts and it's currently about a wide variety of different issues. Generally I write about cultural and political issues, but I wanted to do other things as well, and I still plan on doing them at some point.
Sadly, I don't have a whole lot of time to write interesting things. Well I do, but for some reason it doesn't happen.
Anyway, my blog is currently located here: www.various-thoughts.com/
It used to be on wordpress (and still is since that blog actually has readers haha) the url for that is variousthoughts.wordpress.com
I'm still working on setting that blog up, and really have idea what I'm going to do with it. I like writing about the things that are up there currently, as well as things that will surely pop into my head in the future. But I don't really know if it's necessary for me to write about that stuff, especially if it isn't interesting enough to read.
There isn't a particular reason that I'm here, my grammar is fairly poor though, so hopefully I can find things to help me with that. If not, then hopefully I will find some good information that I can put to use on my blog. -
Hello one and all,
I have helped my self to a decaffeinated green tea and would like to introduce myself as a Canadian and as an gulf islander.
The blog I have registered at BC is onecooltips.wordpress.com
It is a collection of wordpress blogging tips, how to instructional posts, tutorials, walk-throughs, work-arounds and links to blogging tools and blogging resources. I do have other blogs and I have worked as a small town journalist in the past.
The reason I'm here is to improve my grammar. -
Looking forward to contributing and learning...
It would be very interesting to explore how writing and grammar have been influenced by social mediums (e.g. IM, twitter, BC discussions, blogging, etc.). In essence, how we use "lolisms", abbreviations and acronyms to simplify quick communications.
I find myself reading back over my recently submitted comments for misspellings and grammar. Self monitoring is very natural for me. I catch myself making many mistakes and will continue doing so. Hopefully this group will help me to fine tune my filters.
Thanks for the invite. Happy to be here. In a former life I did my undergraduate and master's in English and taught at a public high school. This may or may not be worth something.
For the last ten years I have worked managing Internet marketing for large enterprise software and media companies. Our green site is a hobby for me and a business partner. I have been working remotely for the last half year and this explains why you will see a lot of me.
Thanks again for the invite.-
I share your curiousity about the social networks' influence on grammar. In my journalism classes, I will get a BTW or lol from time to time. I also get lots of abbreviations. BTW: I just received an award from my university for scholarly writing, but if anyone saw my initial drafts, they'd just laugh. On first draft, I'm careless and half the words are mispelled. My strength is in revision. I rewrite over and over and over again.
Did you teach English? What grade level?

The curious thing I've noticed is that many international students of mine do a better job with English grammar than native American. My theory is that internationals learn their English in the classroom while lately many in the US have learned from pop culture.
-
Interesting point, angelawd. I'll check with some of my foreign students to see if they've had a similar experience with learning English. What's funny is that I just remembered that I did a journal article comparing Foreign and American student journalists, but I can't even remember my findings. I'll have to dig it up to see if there's anything relevant to add this discussion.

Hi - I'm Lulubelle B. I've always been a bit of an English nut. Bad grammar in formal writing and speech is a pet peeve. My boss often praises my writing and encourages me to take on additional writing projects. I started Lulu Haiku a year ago as an exercise in brevity. (United States)

Hello Everyone! Robert, I am glad you created this group. It is quite interesting to get other people's views on things. Not to mention, the variety of blogs there are. I am going to try to visit as many as I can because I am sure I'll learn a lot.
Anyway, my blog is a news blog, but instead of just plain news, I like to focus on my interest of tech news; What is new in tech. There are a million and one tech sites, so I try to be different. Occasionally, I throw in some other news in addition to other things new. You can visit www.whtsnews.com
Thanks so much and good luck to all! -
Hello!
my blog's about science fiction just started last december and I do get paranoid about my grammar at times,i.e. not sure if its right, etc...
I have been compiling scifi films the past months and getting good feedback (in terms of interest). I'm experimenting with adding youtube videos in the post.
I just finished drinking my ice tea in a tall mug with lots of ice.
and I recommend one of those mp3 players with a mic input or a microcassette recorder to record your thoughts. pen & paper takes too long.

Hi, Alexander,
I enjoy your writing. Anyone who quotes Max Lucado has got it together. Unfortunately my experience with his works has been targeted to kids. I look forward to reading his other titles this summer.
I did bring donut holes. They can be found in the empty space scattered throughout the room . . . We've got some coffee brewing. Help yourself to more.-
I've read Max Lucado's "Traveling Light"...which I loved. I want to read so many of his...including "Facing Your Giants."
My favorite of his (kids wise) is "You Are Special"...I was at a Christmas party for adults when the hostess read that to us aloud at the end of the evening...there were not many dry eyes in the house!

I'm Barbie ( aka mtn Barbie )I would like to tell you a little about myself,I live here in the Catskill Mountains of New York. I have always enjoyed creative writing since I was a child, and never thought I would be writing again as an adult.I am the proud mother of 2 grown sons, one of whom is a volunteer fireman in our town. Was I ever thrilled to find out that my oldest won the prestigious " fireman of the year award", wow,I could not believe it.I have been working at one of our local schools for nearly 21 years now in Special education as a NY State certified teaching assistant, I teach Pre-Ged skills to students ranging in ages from 16 to 21 years of age who are developmentally disabled , after the school day ends at 3pm, I go on to my second job where I work as
an advocate working with developmentally disabled older adults in a residential setting ( five years). My work hours start from 8 am to 3 pm, then I hop over to the second job after 3 and work until 11 pm. I find my jobs very rewarding and gives me sheer gratification knowing that I have touched someone else's lives and helped them to achieve their goals.
I have been living together with my boyfriend ken for several years now, we have 3 beautiful kids( our beloved dogs) LOL!!Sometimes its like a zoo in our house, lol, but they are a big part of our lives as well as our real kids.ken and I both enjoy snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping and many other outdoor sports as well.So we started our own little website called Catskill Mountain FYI, where we blog about outdoor recreation and related topics.I try to post new blogs as often as I can,so please be patient because I sometime work 15 hours a day and am so worn out by the time I get home.We are very happy to be here and have met some very nice people here, thank you all for accepting us into this wonderful community, which I now call my second home.Hope I didn't bore you guys to death,

Hi Rob, thanks for the invitation. This is going to be an interesting discussion. I love your blog, many of your posts make me laugh.
Anyway, I'm from Indonesia originally (English is my second language) but I live in WA state.
I write tips and ideas on home based business opportunities on my blog: www.plug-in-4-profit.com/blog/ -
Mtnbarbie, Hi.
His name's not really ken, is it? I loved the detailed account of your world in under 2 minutes. My two boys and I have five cats, three dogs, two birds, and salt water fish. We are a zoo.-
LOL, I guess having a zoo at home is pretty common these days.lol.Yes his name is really Ken, the only thing I don't have yet is Barbie's dream house and the little pink convertible, lol!!
Most people we meet find it not only amusing, but think we are joking around, alas!!! The legacy of " Barbie & Ken" lives on...:)

My blog is whimsicalpam.blogspot.com
I originally started it as a means of promotion. It is now more of a rambling journal. I have very opinionated thoughts on society, business and parenting. I'm probably scaring the customers away but I'm having fun.
I'm here because I love Rob's blog and I definitely need some grammatical help.

Hi, I've been teaching history for a number of years, which means I grade papers and see lots of writing errors. In fact, the students who make them have taught me a lot. I also teach English to non-native speakers from time to time.
I've got three blogs and a tumblelog. Here's the blog that is relevant for this group: language4you.wordpress.com
My personal wiki also contains relevant writing resources:
homepage.mac.com/markstoneman/research%20and%20writing.html-
A blog without all the usual clutter. A blog without even much text. There's a group here, though we don't talk much. Might be a function of how tumblers blog. www.blogcatalog.com/group/tumblelogs
-
Stoneman, Hi.
After publishing an article on grammar a couple of years ago, a high school teacher emailed to thanked me. She said she wanted to teach grammar, but she and her colleagures don't get to pick their priorities. Grammar was a priority for them, but not for the school district which was focused on teaching for standardized tests. Maybe this change of focus is partly to blame for the slide. Many English teachers don't even diagram sentences anymore. I found that a very useful tool for understanding parts of speech.
I also taught ESL; these students taught me as well.-
This is a bit of an aside, but you've hit a button so hot for me that I can't let it pass--the supreme irony in this is that most of the school districts that have cut back on or abandoned traditional teaching in favor of "teaching to the tests" are doing it wrong in every way from what they're teaching to what they're feeding the kids on test day.
-
Students complain that I grade their writing instead of focusing on their history. I tell them that sloppy writing is sloppy thinking.
I didn't learn a whole lot of formal grammar in school. At least, we did not do diagramming and such. In fact, I had to teach a lot of grammar to myself in order to learn German. Nothing like learning a foreign language to gain a better sense of how one's own language works. That doesn't mean I couldn't write reasonably well before. I just didn't have the vocabulary to talk about it. Many college students I see nowadays don't have this vocabulary either.
By the way, I think my son did didn't do diagraming, but he had to do some exercises underlining different parts of speech, manipulating sentences, etc. It didn't hurt that he is bilingual and had me to proofread his work. (I'm using the past tense, because he's in boarding school now.)

Standardized testing is the primary reason for the high-speed descent down the intellectual waterslide this country's been riding. When "Answer every question, even if you don't know the correct answer. A guess may be right!" is a valid test taking strategy, I think there's nowhere else to go. You're basically saying, "Hey, we don't really care if you've mastered any of this stuff; we just care about your scores. Heck, if you're really dumb but really lucky, we'll take that, too!"
The second offender would be the whole No Child Left Behind program, which brings a lot of bad ideas from Privitization that failed in the real world, and puts them into education. Additionally, its basic premise is not exactly what people think it is. People speak about it "raising the bar" for underperforming students, and it does. Only, it's not a high-jump bar that's being raised. The students are playing limbo, and as long as ten-feet tall basketball players are holding the bar above their heads, it's pretty easy for most everyone to just walk under the bar and come out the other side a graduate.
Saddest of all, however, is that universities are starting to follow this very trend. There are far too many students who are full of themselves for making decent grades while never opening a book and/or barely attending class. They think it's because they are hyper-intelligent when, in reality, the standards have just been lowered so far as to permit this type of coasting in your average student, comatose behavior in your brighter students, and a great feeling of accomplishment with minimal work for your slower students.
Grumble, grumble. -
I'm so excited to see so many members in this group already! I have been blogging about English grammar and writing at legbamel.blogspot.com for almost a year, now. I'm thrilled to find like-minded people with whom to discuss it. I've become a sort of reactionary prescriptivist, railing against the lazy and just plain poor writing that I see in places there supposed writers spend their time.
I was raised by someone who double-majored in English and German. Then I was fortunate enough to have a teacher obsessed with diagramming when I was 11 and a fabulously dedicated Latin teacher a few years later. After all of that drilling, how could I help but be hyper-sensitive to abuses of the language. I'm pretty relaxed about speech and e-mails, though, most of the time...okay, some of the time. I've even said "ain't"!
-
Hi, Legbamel,
I love your blog.
We think alike. I have a recent post similar to your latest post on using expressions that mean something entirely different than what we intended to say.
robertstevenson.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/english-is-nutty-4/
I also just completed a post tyring to persuade Americans to consider learning at least one language other than English. As you an Mark pointed out, one of the best ways to become proficient in English grammar is to learn a second language. -
Wow, thanks! I like to think that at least getting resources and reasoning out there can help to stem the tide. That, and teaching my children to speak like thoughtful people, rather than letting them slide into the morass of text-ese and verbal shorthand. I can't wait until I get to correct them in front of their friends. [evil laugh] It's a grass-roots revolution. Where's anok?
-
Rob, maybe we can turn back the hands of time. The overall attitude of society is to take the easy way out. I think that T-Ball is a great illustration of this. There's no winning or losing..."Let's just have fun"
Winning and losing is an important part of life. It sets the bar for achievement, without that bar, there's no sense of accomplishment or consequence. Parents need to allow their children to fail, so that they can succeed. When I was young, my parents always had me write thank you notes. How many kids do you know that write thank you notes anymore? Whether it was school or a simple note, my father would read it and help me make corrections. I'm a high school drop out ( lured by the glory of the restaurant business). Needless to say, may grammar is not what it should be, but I'm here trying to overcome what I'm lacking. The principle of "trying" has sadly been left behind, by most.-
Excellent point, Pam.
Just this year my son's school did away with awards for Science Fair projects. Everyone that participates receives a blue ribbon, now. My son was completed demoralized. He loves competition, and a reward for a job well done. (Excuse me sir - the drinks are over there :0) ) Okay, I'm back. This is the sort of mindset that defeats are children's motivation to learn.
Fortunately, my kids think it's cool to be correct. Still, like me and depending on the circumstances, they will relax their "standards" and break a grammar rule from time to time. -
I think the circumstances are a bit different. TeeBall is meant for 3 to 7 year old children, and exists mainly to build physical skills and sportsmanship. It's not a competitive sport and never was one; it's an activity designed to introduce children to the physical aspects of the game and encourage development of those skills without pressure.
A child who does poorly in the science fair is still going to be in science classes for the rest of his school career and has the incentive to keep working and do better; a child who does poorly in a competitive sport at age 4 or 5 and gets shouted at, embarrassed and blamed for his poor performance, on the other hand, has a powerful incentive to simply back out of athletics before he ever gets started.
Maybe the real answer has nothing to do with one way or the other being "right", but with the adults involved bothering to assess their goals and the needs of the children involved.

Hi I'm Dr. Nicole, Doc, Nicole, whatever you want to call me I don't care...I run an interactive alternative medicine website at:
kitchentablemedicine.com I am here because I am in the bad habit after med school of talking in sentence fragments and acronyms. Doctors are worse than bloggers!!! Anyways, since I love to write I figure I might as well work on getting better at it. Every bit always helps, so I am here to learn whatever someone wants to teach!!!
Thanks so much
-
Hey Doc.
First of all, I think there are three of you!
I've only rarely been to a discussion without bumping into you. I'm very happy you found time for our group. I think we're going to have some fun here. (I first wrote ("gonna have some fun" because today is my first day of summer vacation), but I quickly regained my composure.
My mom and ex-wife are both nurses, if they manage two complete word per sentence, I'm ecstatic. . . . "Stat, meds, anat, (he runs off pulling his hair and screaming).

Hello everyone!
Thanks Robert for the invitation. I've been having internet connection problems the past few days, which explains why I didn't say hi earlier... but better late than never, eh?
I write www.growinghappiness.com
I think I've forgotten basic grammar rules due to Internet speak (I know, just blame it on the Internet, right?) so I'm here to learn (and relearn) all I can.
cheers,
M -
M,
"Growing happiness" justs makes me happy. I love your title and your blog.
The internet is like summer vacation when we were kids - if we don't use it, we lose it. As you say, we might forget a rule or two, but we have the foundation.
Just think about the middle school texters of today and what this world will look like tomorrow:
"2day, u hav a gr8 oprtnty 2 make hlthcre a4dable ."
Over on MadameX's wonderful "Writers and writing group": www.blogcatalog.com/group/writers-and-writing, I actually had fun titling a discussion "Writing is like . . . What's your Meta4." I succumbed to the temptation to abbreviate. -
my blog is hethought.blogspot.com (just published a few days ago)
Its all about what i've write and summited to my prof. I write what I know based on what i've read. Enjoy them sir....and my rambling blog is andrik-mcvean.blogspot.com -

Hi
This is such a great idea, my hubby is the grammar maniac, he is a stickler for correct spellings, and punctuations, and my writing drives him nuts. I must've missed grammar in school during our many many moves as a child, so I read what I can about it, and hope for the best, and I am usually open to someone correcting me about it...hopefully in a reasonably nice way! I live in Alaska, USA -
Because I'm weird, revision is my weak point. Anything that I can't write in one sitting ends up slow, meandering, and boring. Additionally, anything I go back and try to revise ends up forced and too refined. I suppose this is why I'm an essayist and not a novelist, although I do dabble in short stories.
I do tend to read through my work after I've finished, to try and catch any grammatical errors. It's difficult, however, to edit your own work. I know what I meant to write, even if I didn't put an article here or there. I tend to see them anyway, and so not much correcting gets done. -
Hi all, My blog is Design Interval at www.designinterval.com, recently launched.
Wished I could be able to include all of my interests in it, but I made it mainly about Web Development & Marketing. I have to organize my time to update it regularly.
It's my pleasure to join your group, Robert. I am a big fan of good and interesting writing.
Looking forward to communicating with you all through other group discussions & comments

AH, see now I've come to wreck your group
Not really, but I do think the English language is fascinating (or any language, actually). So here I am, a political blogger witha little corner of the blog world called:
identitycheck-anok.blogspot.com -
Hi! my blogs are: praning5254.blogspot.com - blogs about radiology, radiation, radiologic technology and other related topics;and praningshoutout.blogspot.com - my personal blog which contains my random thoughts, humor and other things that interest me.
I am here because I want to enhance my grammar. I am aware that there are still things that I need to learn. My grammr is great, in fact I teach English, but I want to learn more. -
-
Hey. Aisa here. I (try to) blog at sheslaykdat.blogspot.com/
I got here through Mr. Robert's Challenge Yourself thread.
-
Hi Robert,
I'm joining your group. I always want to improve my writing. I think I have lots of problems. Sometimes I cheat when I write hahaha! I have this post in my blog, earthlyexplorations.blogspot.com/2008/05/do-grammar-checker-tools-work.html Do Grammar Checker Tools Work because I think I write like how Yoda talks.
This is my other blog thehaven-earthlingorgeous.blogspot.com/ -
Hey earthlingorgeous,
I enjoyed your post and love your blog. I don't think grammar checkers are any good. They're like spell checkers. People start to depend on them and don't physically proofread their writing anymore. I usually notice more grammar errors after people start using grammar checkers. -
Grammar checkers are just one more indication that Skynet isn't going to have to use nukes and Arnold Schwarzenegger to enslave humanity. In fact, as more and more people are turned into robots via cell phones and text messages and spellcheckers, grammar checkers, calculators, and powerpoint presentations, I think the nukes and terminators would be a much more desireable way to go.
Grammar checkers produce utilitarian output, with straight edges and uniform use of the language. They create boring prose, can't understand poetry, and have little to contribute to shopping lists. I hate them immensely. -
I guess I should post here since I joined this group recently. I have my own writing, editing, and proofreading company with one employee...ME.
I have been extremely blessed to be able to work from anywhere I please for the past three years. I currently have 6 customers that I work with every month. I also have 4-5 other clients who send work to me periodically throughout the year. My involvement with them is varied. I write for some, edit for others, and proofread for a couple. I truly enjoy it. I write lots and lots of marketing material, web content, business proposals and other business documents.
Prior to having my own writing business, I was an administrator in a special ed. school in California for 2 years, worked in the upper management of a transportation company in NJ for 13 years, and had my own specialty coffee business for 3 years. I now live in North Idaho. I'm staying here for awhile, haha.
I have three blogs listed here in BC. Two of them are for customers. The third was another customer (Bank of Internet) who wanted me to blog about my one year trip across the US with my family. I should take that blog down from the list as it is no longer updated.
Anyhow, my own website (which is long overdue) is almost a reality (www.McWriters.com). I will let you know when it goes live. It is just another blog, but I'm looking forward to having an outlet of my own instead of just business blogs.
So, I will be checking in periodically because I like words.

Hi everyone! I've long had a desire to write, but to date they're mainly been poems. I also wrote the Monster Kit, which is an eBook about helping children ages 2-1/2 to 5 to overcome their fear of monsters. You know the kind in their rooms at nights.
I have quite a few Blogs and they can be seen at www.blogcatalog.com/user/christinebean.
I am from the United States and I'm here to learn more about writing.
Thanks,

-
Hi there. My name is Thea and you can find my blog here daudleikr.blogspot.com .
The reason for me being here is because I'm Norwegian, and our grammar rules are different from the English rules - and I have yet to learn them all. I still have a hard time not putting a comma before "and", not putting words together (one of the biggest grammatical sins in the Norwegian language is to separate words), and probably some other things. -
I'm a bit late to this group. I didn't know about it until I saw Mark's post in the discussions.
My blog is at christianadvicesite.com. I also ghostwrite professional blog posts, but since they are ghostwritten I can't link to them.
I have loved grammar and word play since I was a child. My mother is a retired high school and college English professor and my father is a retired photojournalist. Reading, writing, language and word games are pretty much wired into my DNA. -
Thankfully, I was guided here by, the Little Red Dog. This may just be exactly the hide-a-way place I need in order to get back into writing my novel. By and by, my main web log is a juxtaposition of the many sides of my innate nature, whereby I tend to get into many creative projects at the same time. Art, poetry, taking a stand, French Pastry, movies and my ideas forf spreading kindness. I have the tendency toward eclectic reasoning and sometimes wave the proverbial flag, in order to convey a lesson. But perhaps my most endearing quality is that I simply want to share beautiful or funny things with my readers.
My late Mother was forever correcting my grammar, and whilst I sometimes struggle with which tense of a word to write, I most certainly try my utmost to do it properly.
I shall invite you all to join me on my quest to make "Sleeping Kitten - Dancing Dog!" a comfortable virtual cafe` where you may relax and read.

Hello, everyone. My blog is over here caffeinated-muse.blogspot.com/, I'm from the Philippines, and it's mostly personal stuff I write.
I have a thing for creative non-fiction, which is why I'm into reading interesting blog posts. I got to this group via Rob's blog, and I signed up because I know I've still a lot to learn about the English grammar.
Cheers!

Hi! I live in the U.S. and have a personal blog where I write about many annoying and/or silly things I encounter. Although my grammar is not perfect by any means, I have really enjoyed making fun of dangling participles, office jargon, and other ridiculous things I hear.

Why I have joined this group?
Well, grammar for me is a deep dark abyss of which I skirt across daily.
I would however prefer to dive into this place of forgotten sensuality but alas; I have not the skill to do so with confidence.
So, I have joined this group, in the hopes that I may learn the rules more intimately.

Hello, i'm new here (waves). exmalobonum.blogspot.com is my blog. Ex malo bonum (how bad comes good), I got that in a movie called Fierce People. Anyways, I write about random stuff mostly. Oh, I'm here because I like to browse around. Do you know that you can actually improve your grammar by blogging? Haha...I somehow did.

Hello, I am Lucy Coats, a UK author of children's books and I blog about life, literature, little lunches, writing, children's and adult books, stargazing, poetry, the trials of teenage children, reviewing, handy cooking tips, dealing with creativity and depression, owning dogs and much much more. Read my funny, witty and brutally honest accounts of a writer's daily life in the English countryside where feral rabbits roam the fields, terrorising unwary ramblers. Pull up a keyboard and jump in at Scribble City Central www.scribblecitycentral.blogspot.com. PS: I hope my grammar is good most of the time--and if you want more writing-related stuff, I also blog with 20 other authors at An Awfully Big Blog Adventure www.awfullybigblogadventure.blogspot.com

Hi, gang. I'm a published author of six books: two non-fiction and four novels. I'm also a freelance editor/manuscript evaluator who has reasonable rates and provides a separate comment page for any corrections/revisions made to your manuscript. I use the red-line, track changes method for online submissions, or if you prefer, I could do a hard copy edit via snail mail.
My description of services and fees can be found on my web site: www.freewebs.com.marilyncmorris/
I also occasionally post rants about grammar gaffes on one of my blogs, www.agedtoimperfection.blogspot.com
Happy to have found you, and I'll offer support when needed on this group. And, imagine this: You might find some areas where I'm lacking, too!
