  1. I will start:

My open blog tourtoo.com was created to let travel professionals and providers post for free tours and destinations.
And for people looking for new tours and places find some to visit.

I hope it will be useful for all.
    1. Thanks for the invite Ales,

Great blog too, some very interesting tours.

    3. Great blog you've got there and the placement of pictures and presentation commendable. I surely got some ideas from my visit there

    4. Hi there,

We can say a lot about us but prefer a more objective outsiders view. Look into: blogs.rnw.nl/staat/2008/11/21/soekershof-een-droomtuin-in-zuid-afrika/#more... It's partly in Dutch (and watched by approx. 5-million people around the globe Saturday 22 November 2008.
Most touroperators maintain their 'good old' South Africa programs for years now without exploring the new more exiting (and less tourist trapping) places to go and things to do.

    5. tourtoo.com is really a great looking, interesting and quallity travel site.
I enjoy reading the posts on it. It is with fresh design and based on a good unique idea. So alesnormales, my compliments for the good work, it was worth!
    6. I like your www.tourstoo.com blog, we're doing something very similar with www.yougodo.com but we're more activity focused.

Any chance of a link to www.yougodo.com to encourage operators to add themselves to YouGoDo (for free) also?

The link for operators to add themselves is www.yougodo.com/AddMe .

We also offer free activity maps for use on blogs etc. that you may find useful. Check out www.yougodo.com/en/Map.aspx to see a map in action. To get your own customisable maps check out www.yougodo.com/en/Trade/Maps.aspx , or for other linking options see www.yougodo.com/en/Trade/Content.aspx?c=DataAndAPI .
    7. Bay Area Tendrils is a travel blog that tours historic gardens in Italy and Spain, visits modern public parks in Paris and Valencia, and explores coast to coast destinations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe; with musings on contemporary landscape architecture, rare plants, and design. Look for recommendations for small boutique hotels, great restaurants, and little-known attractions in rural and urban areas.

    12. Thanks for letting me join. This looks like an interesting group.
    13. Hey, Alesnormales- You have a great blog. Some of the trips sound like a real adventure! It will be fun to check out other sites listed here. I write about life on Whidbey Island
in the NW corner of Washington State. It is a popular travel spot.

    14. Hi HOBO I visited your blog. It is a good layout. Could you send me a PM and let me know how you are doing traffic wise? It says you have almost 500 posts. Also wanted to know the best traffic sources? I see you have entre card and many other widgets! I would love to hear from you
    15. Your blog is VERY well coded and looks quite popular. How are you doing earnings wise? Is this your main source of income?
    16. Hello everyone, I am air travel agent. I provide you cheap and affordable flights in world wide.
    17. Ales, I saw your blog. I don't know about you guys, but my first impression is that I think it needs some lay out design change. The light blue color I think is too soft for me.The color combination and pictures. Maybe picture of palm tree near a beach, sounds standard but people will feel more relaxed.

I think nowadays travelers are progressive, they are use to facebook lay out.

No offense that's only my opinion man.

    18. Hi, great site! It may prove quite useful to us.
Could you please clarify the posting rule?
I read it as "please comment on one of the blogs already added to the thread" but I can't see how you'd track this, Especially as your blog does not seem to encourage comments.
Also, are you looking for this group to be for travel sales purposes? rather than travelers keeping blogs of their journey?

Anyway, I'm in the latter category, as our family, from America, is living in Australia for six months. My blog is dedicated to my craft, jewelry making, as well as our travels and life.

I don't travel as much as I would like so I enjoy the travel blogs... :0)

    1. Congratulation with wedding! My brother marry this Saturday as well... Thank you for the kind words, feel free to use my open-blog if you find something interesting on travel!
  3. I think your blog is easy to navigate alesnormales, it is very clear and I found the information to be very straightforward.
I have a different kind of travel blog, go ahead and see....

    1. Really cool blog with heart. I like writing poetry and art photo. Nice, very nice! Good luck!
    2. I really enjoyed your blog.
  4. Ales, great beverage blog! I'll be visiting it again, I learned a few new recipes to revive me after a hot day in the garden, as well as a drink or two to try if I decide to go out on the town, too!

The Midnight Garden isn't really a travel blog, since I don't do all that much of it myself. However, I do live on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and feel quite drawn to the natural beauty around us, so I am often sharing photos and such of the area...which can be enticing if you're thinking of planning a Cape Cod vacation!
    1. Thanks johnny, please write something about previous blog in this thread.
  5. Hi Johnny,

    1. You've got a very interesting blog! Will definitely keep checking back
    2. Renny, I saw your blog. My first impression is that your a professional blogger. I never been to Oslo, and you've probably never been to Bandung, Indonesia.
But from your site I know more.

Oya Bandung is 2 hours by plane from Bali,2 hours by land from Jakarta.

But a favor not to put like 5 posts in the first page. But this is debatable. The map on the first page, gives me inspiration that we must put our location for people to know first.

For Indonesian Bloggers in this group : Salam Kenal ya.

  13. I read Heather D's blog. I like the pictures of Utah. It's on my unofficial list of places I want to travel.

    my blog is travelturtle.net

I write about places I go and things I make so it's quite possible that the blog entry could be about something other than travel. However, right now this latest blog is definitely about travel with quite a few pictures, so take a look.
  14. That's a pretty interesting blog you have there TravelTurtle {I like the nick too}. Its amazing how many cities/countries you've visited - perhaps on your next travel out, you could write about the places tourists do not visit - the best kept secrets and that could be a category on its own.

I don't have a travel blog, but do manage a magazine on travel at JayaWangsa.com

All the best to you TT, and drop me a postcard when you're on your next train ride. I too love trains - Maybe you'll write about Oriental Express next?

  15. -LOVE the photography on Vcheewei's site (photoblog.cheewei.com)! Check out the exquisite captures of Santorini...

TravelTurtle's train piece has a nice intimate feel to it. Travel SHOULD be a very personal experience; I like how she shares that aspect of her adventures.

I would be happy just to be in your city of Gothenburg, (I'm sure I was there in a former life).

Europe is so far away for me, where I live, I think nothing of traveling 800 miles on the weekend to have a nice meal and a night away from home, if I could only be in Europe I would go EVERYWHERE! You would never find me at home.

As far as posting my own link: www.jamaicanecotours.net/ I created the site for a couple of friends of mine who are starting a Eco Tour Company in Jamaica. I'm going to visit them down there in early September.
  24. Oooo! I love Bob Marley! And I went to Jamaica for my honeymoon! One thing I'd suggest for your blog, to make it more readable. Put an extra space between each paragraph-- it really helps to break it up and engage your readers more!

  26. The blog before me, is not working i think :S is going to a page with a lot of links...

So I comment about the blog before that one: I like the idea of having a motor home and live in the road maybe i'll do it one day in my 40's ... but maybe i'll do it in Europe rather than US but the idea is super!!!... the picture of the nopales is super, and the one of the tornado... is taken by you??? wow scary!

My blog is : charcotrip.com (about my travels done in Europe while I was studying a master in Italy)

    See ya!
  27. Aw, thanks! The pics on the blog are mostly from public domain sites, with a few exceptions (the cactus/desert sky pics, the pic of my satellite dish).

I like your blog-- multilingual! Fancy!
    1. Thanks the multilingual thing was a necessity, because first it was just in Spanish cause I was telling my stories to my family and friends in Mexico, but after some time I started to get many non-Spanish speaking friends... so if I wanted them to understand too... I had to do it in English also...

And I have French friends too (who doesn't speak English or Spanish)... but for the them well... do it in 3 languages is even more crazy hehehe (so they just see the pictures hehe)

      Regards..
  28. HI, I'm pretty new here and still finding my way around. Glad to have found this group, and all the interesting blogs here! I currently manage 2 blogs (mostly on the Philippines), the first is a detailed travel journal and one is mostly on highlights about other travel related things --

    1. THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING RULES OF TOPIC
  42. Hi everybody. I checked out the most recent person on the list who actually followed the rules and left a comment about the previous site - ram002. I liked your blog - great photos of bridges. Alesnormales, I liked yours too - very clean with lots of info. I was especially interested in the ability to add a link to one of my posts, so I did!

My site is holeinthedonut.com. I originally started it two years ago as I was about to embark on a solo backpacking trip around the world. I blogged everywhere I went. Now, I am back in the States, trying to recreate myself into a travel writer, so my blog is a combination of my continued travels and everyday stuff. Sometimes it features inspirational videos, sometimes I write with snarky humor, sometimes it is simply about what I happen to be feeling at the moment. There's also a link to a very extensive photo library of all my travels. Hope you will enjoy it.
    1. Thanks for sharing, you have a nice blog, Barbara.

None the less, I went to www.yourcruiseyourway.com/ which has over 28,000 RSS subscriptions! The blog looks like a perfect one stop resource for cruise ship travel and cruise ship news!

Now for some self promotion...I finally added some pictures and content to www.EcoTours.me . A few months ago I invested in a bunch of .ME domains in hopes of using them for sites and flipping them down the road. The blog is currently about a vacation that I had to Jamaica. It has a ton of photos of the Jamaican countryside, the Jamaican people and the Jamaican roadside. As I travel to other interesting places I hope to add them to the blog as well. Comments are welcome.

  65. Hi there,

I'd love to comment on the above blog but I can't even guess what language it is written in.

Traveling Project is great. I'd love to visit Thailand.

    My new blog is www.globetrottingbride.com

Globetrotting Bride is a new blog where travel and weddings collide in style. It features juicy tidbits like new travel destinations for bachelorette trips and honeymoons, scenes from stylish weddings around the world, travel friendly beauty products, wedding/honeymoon fashions, gift ideas, wedding and travel tips from the experts and other daily musings. 68. Wow - I guess that is good possibility - bedbugs - from www.tourlogbook.com. I hadn't thought of that. I love the suggestions of islands to visit - any of them sound lovely.
My new blog is a video blog about the inside scoop on the very interesting and diverse city I live in - Asheville, North Carolina. It's behind the scenes with the people, chefs, artists, music there. www.AshevillesHot.com
  69. Hey www.downunderupdate.com great reading news about Australia Im an aussie living in Israel.. Israelis adore australia though melbourne is their favourite city.. they love it and always give fantastic reports about time spent in the culture capital of OZ.

My blog www.lovingtelaviv.wordpress.com is full of whats going on in tel aviv, the cosmopolitan middle eastern city that never sleeps.. Its a great fun city and a highly reccomended stop over for those going across to europe from the southern hemisphere im loving life in the holyland. its nothing like the TV portrays it to be.

  71. The downunderupdate.com looks really nice, even if I would try to put less widgets in the right column. I like the subject, from the Climate Change Australians' history. For example I didn't knew you are the biggest per capita greenhouse gas polluters. And I was specially interested in the posts about the wildlife. Really interesting. I have a blog about the Danube Delta and the birds there ( danubedelta.blogspot.com ), so this subjects interest me a lot. Just as a suggestion, I would reduce the upper white part, it is nice but a little too big (on vertical). And I would get rid of the black band on-top (but this is just personal taste).

    All best,
    Radu

I write about festival and events in the coastal region from South Carolina - to Georgia - and Northeast Florida, from Myrtle Beach to St. Augustine and all points in between on our blog www.coastalcompanion.com
We also do a weekly online TV show about upcoming events. Lots more videos to come right after the first of the year!
Thanks for checking out our blog and giving us feedback!

As for our blog - are currently traveling/living in Bolivia until the end of January and from then returning home slowly via Europe and Asia. What we are doing with our blog is documenting what is like living in Bolivia, the issue of working away from home, how does a trip like affect our kids and the places we been here and on our way back - bythebay.com.au/blog

Hope you guys find it interesting.

  80. Interesting stuff Gerald, good to read a blog that is regularly updated :-) So many just seem to lose interest and fade away into remote parts of the bloggosphere never to be heard from again ...

My blog is a Brit expat's-eye view of living abroad, twenty plus years of living between the south of France and Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Lots of photos, stories, tips and tricks on how to survive, the good, the bad and the ugly of living away from home...

Your blog is very interesting and detailed! I'm really curious about the Portuguese egg tarts. (The sign was so cute!) As a chef, I love trying out new foods. Also, great photos!

    - As for me, I travel with my plush toy Gossamer. He's the main focus of the pictures and I write about our adventures. We're currently stuck in Texas but that will change soon. Anyways, we like to give advice on the places we go, discuss the books we read, and talk about candies! The goal is to make our site as unique and fun as possible.

    1. Thanks! I'm glad you like the photo. The header image was taken by my girlfriend on a trek up to a glacier on Cayambe, a snow-capped volcano in Ecuador. We took 4WD jeeps up to the snow, and this shot was taken during a break on the drive up.
  91. Cool, thanks. Ecuador's beautiful.

  121. Nice page desiderata!

    My blog is as ricksworld411.blogspot.com
It's my life story as a "nomad" or sorts.
    1. Hi!

I've found ricksworld411.blogspot.com very interesting, but I'm not sure if my opinion is neutral enough, because we struggle with problems such homelessnes/campng in the wild, hitchhiking, begging etc. So maybe I'm a bit too empathic now, and I really glad for any attention on problems like these.

But I find the structure and the design pretty good, simple, but nice.
    2. I like how you call yourself a nomad. Personally, I'm a vagabond. I actually did a post on nomads vs. vagabonds vs. hobos and what I think the difference is, despite the fact most of the time the terms are used interchangeably.

      theyellowbrickroadtrip.blogspot.com/2009/03/roadtrip-philosophy-vagabond-vs...

I'd love to know what your thoughts are - if you think I was accurate in how I describe a nomad?

  143. pradipta2001: Who said your blog isn't beautiful? I love your photographs, they are really great and it makes me want to prepare my luggage and go there. Nevertheless, let me give you an advice: To rank high at search engines, you should also put valuable content (text) for your visitors, preferably putting in the Title a popular keyword and then write about it. You can brainstrom keywords at the specific google tool. (Just google: google keyword tool)...
    Good luck!

  170. Hi

You have a wonderful blog. Very informative.
I represent a Canadian adventure company that goes all over the world. They are called G.A.P Adventures.

What to Expect from a G.A.P Adventures Trip

The most important advice we can provide about a G.A.P Adventures trip is to expect the unexpected! For the most part, you will be travelling in developing countries in areas very different from home. So, the best approach is to just let go and keep an open mind. You could find yourself getting covered in coloured paste in Holi festivities in India or getting invited for a traditional dinner with a friendly local family in Guatemala. You might get soaked by a mid-afternoon monsoon rain, but then you’ll realize that it’s one of the most delightful showers you’ve ever had. Whatever happens, it’s best to remember that it’s all part of the experience.

I have checked out some of the blogs belonging to Euroangel, Ales and mmatchev. Cool stuff, guys. I can't say my blog is a full-on travel blog, although quite a lot of my entries at theunjadedworld.blogspot.com/ revolve around my previous travel experience. See it for yourself!

  211. Turnie - janeslakedistictinformation.blogspot.com/ is a beautifully constructed blog. You have totally wet my appetite for visiting the area when I'm in the UK next month. Fantastic job. The pics are amazing.

My little blog is 1stclassdiva.wordpress.com/ about my upcoming adventures on my world trip driving my other half crazy. We are two down-to-earth Aussies traveling first class. It should be a hoot watching us bumble our way around the globe trying to mind our p's and q's.
    1. Very interesting and in-depth article on Greece. Excellent Job!
  212. 1stclassdiva.wordpress.com/ - Your trip will be incredible. I can't wait to here about Croatia and Greece. Definitely looking forward to the lounge reviews as well, I don't get to see too many of those

The main goal of my blog is just trying to allow people to experience the world for as cheap as possible. I figure the big barrier to entry for travel is cost, so I try to get that out of the way. I'm new to this blogging thing so check it out at seat33c.com/ and I'd love any tips or comments you have.
  213. Generally, your attitude to fly cheap is great when you are young and fit.
You can even fill travel gaps with hitch hiking. Also spending a night in the airport will not kill a 30something old person.
However, normally the elderly want more comfort and less stress which cannot be avoided at all times with low cost flights. Recently, I was considering Ryan Air for getting to the Netherlands. Maastricht was my destination. You are told by friends that Weeze, the airport employed by Ryan Air was just by Duesseldorf. It is true but it was not in the right direction for me... Weeze is in the North near Kleve. That meant climbing into trains twice and too much travel compared to the cheap flights Germany Ryan Air from Tenerife. That is what I mean by lack of comfort and more stress for travel when getting older. Of course, this is a great opportunity, the moment friends or family collect you from the airport to take you to your travel destination. The other factor is the totat travel cost once adding it all up. Therefor, not everything which shines is gold.

Condor had cheap flight offers to be grabbed yesterday at 9 a.m. I missed it. At least Condor lands on a regular multinational airport.
  214. Growing up with a father that works for the airlines, I've done my fair share of traveling. I absolutely love it. My blog has travel tips, sample itinerary's and some travel deal listings, along with other things that interests me.

Stop by and check it out. If it inspires you, humors you, or intrigues you, make sure to follow me.

Nice blog. An informative one, it gave me ideas when I get there in USA someday soon.
  257. Marrcia listed four travel blogs. They are all fairly new, nicely laid out and have great photographs. The blogs are in are a little hard to read because the font is light text on dark background. I like that she has the Google translator on each blog, so that visitors may understand about the locales she discusses. This is a great tool! I think as Marrcia evolves, she will be taking these blogs off of blogspot and onto a hosted domain.

  262. Hi people, according to the rules I've already commented in 2 blogs and made my short review.

My site is about this city in Indonesia called Bandung, it was called 'Paris van Java' by the dutch. One of its main attractions are the old art deco building.

But other than about the city, my blog has other popular articles for readers.I hope you would blog-walk my blog and review or criticize it.

To increase our network I would be happy if you bloggers would want to xchange links each other. It would benefit us all.

    1. Hi Tresna,
I checked out your site earlier but forgot to leave my comment! you have a lot of good information on Indonesia. I would love to visit your country one day -- nice pictures.

I was a little confused because the article on the first page was unrelated to travel, but I eventually saw that the links on the right took me to travel sites. But you may lose visitors interested in travel info if they feel they are being marketed to for reasons unrelated to travel. Best of luck.

    1. Kristin, thanks for your critics about my site, I totally appreciated it. I thought I was taking advantage of my freedom to talk other topics. You give me inspiration to put a HTML box for Article topics, like a mini site map, and give focus about the travel information.

I saw your blog, and here is my review: first, it's very original and pure from an appreciative traveler, keep it. About the article text, it said that a blog's paragraph should not be more than 3 lines of sentence.

Your blog has very great potential to generate income. The fact is that PPC companies give more value for bloggers from Europe and the US. I recommend a friend of mine cyntia minaar in South Africa to learn a about e-marketing, you can personally email her. She's very friendly. www.cyns-home-biz.com

And you can design a nice header because your blog's name is unique (Wanderlust) with Corel or others, and reduce it to 760pixel in width and upload it to Blogger.

Sorry if this is a too long people.
