Travel Round the World

A garden and maze visit does not have to be boring. The proof of this is Soekershof; Private Mazes & Botanical Gardens in South Africa. That's a real personal experience and this venue is not designated for mass tourism; which is also a plus for travellers who prefer a more personal attention.
Soekershof is located in a wine producing area and promotes Quality of Life (including 'drink and drive responsible') which can nicely combined with a glass of good wine. This view also explains why not every local is happy.
But internationally Soekershof is highly acclaimed and frequented by botanists and horticulturists of fame next to travellers who want to experience something different. It also explains why Soekershof is the only 'attraction' in the area mentioned in The Lonely Planet.
And the Dutch TV-channel BVN globally broadcasted a 4 minute item about Soekershof on Saturday 22 November 2008 (watched by approx. 5-million people). And for the people who missed this: blogs.rnw.nl/staat/2008/11/21/soekershof-een-droomtuin-in-zuid-afrika/#more...
Partly English and partly Dutch spoken but pictures sometimes say more than words.
And for the gaps in the lingo there is always soekershof.com with all relevant details on the homepage (fits 1 A4 when printed).
