I'm going to start doing FREE blog/website reviews on Upstart Agent every Saturday starting next Saturday.

I will review the site based on 3 things:
Content - are the articles interesting? Useful? Relevant?

Design/Usability - how appealing is the site? is is easy to navigate?

Misc - here I may list competition sites for the area/keyword, search rankings, traffic, etc.

Getting exposure is vital and name recognition is vital although it doesn't have to be expensive.

Taking advantage of our business cards is one of the least expensive ways to market...we can even get special ones made up to get the word out about a special deal. But there are some quality FREE methods available too.

I thought I'd start anothe discussion on ways we can promote real estate specific blogs.

I have an entrecard widget but have noticed not many other real estate blogs use entrecard.

I have met some readers through forums and sites such as blog catalog.

Article marketing can also be helpful.

Any other ideas on getting more traffic to your real estate blog?

I'll break the ice and go first:

I'm Michelle, creator of http://upstartagent.com, a blog with free tips for real estate agents. I started out as a clueless agent, ended up doing very well within 2 years and worked as my manager's assistant in training new agents. Currently I am enjoying being a SAHM doing just the referral side of the business so thought I'd create a blog to help other real estate agents do well :)
