I thought I'd start a discussion off starting with what your favourite recipe or food is.

My favourite food is truffles and the recipe would be truffle infused pasta - www.melbedggood.com/recipe-truffle-infused-mushroom-tagliatelle/mushroom

Post yours here.

  1. hi---mel:

your recipe sounds delish. i love italian and mexian food, also puerto rican meals. i love three cheese lasagnas and stuffed peppers with colored rice and beans with stewed tomatos. yummm!
  2. ooh three cheese lasagna - sounds delicious!
  3. Here's a quick fav that has over a hundred ingredients (you'll need to buy about 4) tastes great and cooks in 30 minutes. It's primarily a pasta sauce, so I'll save you the details of cooking the noodles.

The sauce itself is made with about 80g of goat cheese (the sharper and more flavourful the better!) or half a small package, simmered with halved cherry tomatos and an oregano-garlic vinaigrette sauce.
Now here's the beauty. I normally use a Kraft salad dressing for the vinagrette and save the effort. Hence the hundreds of ingredients and zero shopping.
Simply mix into the goat cheese and tomatos unti the sauce reaches the consistency of a thick Beurre-Blanc our Alfredo sauce and simmer for about 15 mins on medium high heat.
Add hot to strained noodles (flats work best) and you're all set.
Given the wide variety of flavours of goat cheese (peppercorn, oregano, sage, etc) and the nearly equal different types of herb dressings, the combinations of this meal are endless.
It's also a great MAN-ly meal that let's you show off to the womenfolk without having to flip out and kill anybody or even break a sweat.

Worried about goat cheese? Better re-examine where that parmesan came from that you sprinkle on your salads!
  4. MMMM. I love anything with goat cheese!!!
I make garlic bread and then once it is cooked I put goat cheese and some red sauce (tomato or spagetti sauce) on it. I think it is probably one of my favorite things!!!
    1. Nice, it's almost a goat cheese bruchetta. Sounds tasty, too.
  5. not a big fan of goats cheese myself, but I'm game to try your recipe Zarquon! Sounds delicious!
  6. Well, it is a tie for me. I have two recipes that I cannot get enough of - Moogblarfen Sandwiches and Pumpkin Schnitzelmort.
