   Page rank as shown by the google toolbar is not a good measuring stick for the quality of your site. Even Google says it's only for fun. That being said, your pagerank will update every few months or so, the page may be too new to see its debuted pr. Have you signed up for google webmaster tools?
   
   That will give you a breakdown of PR distribution.

   Thanks. I did signed in google webmaster. But for the last few days I noticed the surge of traffic from google search. In the past I got only ca 10 visitors from search but recently got over 50 visitors from search although the PR is still 0.

   Don't pay much attention to the Google Tool Bar PR rank indicator. It only updates every few months. If you have links into your site, the PR will be increasing even when the indicator bar hasn't yet updated.

   I got PR5 at Feb29, 2008, Which is three and half month after my site was created. Normally it takes at least two weeks for goolge to index the site, and give PR every three months, so that is about right. After Feb 29, my google search is increased from ca 10 a day to 50 a day, a month later to ca 180 a day.

   My blog took nearly 9 months to show any toolbar PR, but it was ranking in all engines and getting organic traffic long before then.
