I recently posted a story on my blog that reviews Idle Time Softwares new screensaver "Cubicle Flood." It talks about the decline in screensaver popularity and used --what I think-- defines the differences between Google trends and Google adwords. "Think" is the operative word, here. Fact is, I've come to SEO from a creative background rather than from a technical one. Several of the questions I ask in the end are asked in hopes to get a clearer sense of how others not only regard screensavers but ideas for ways in which I might have approached this analysis differently than the way that I did. As I went all out to explain, I am not a technical person and therefore have no real SEO ego to crush to feel free to jump in and approach my analysis any which way. Also, ou are welcome to comment on the post itself and include a linkback to your own site providing you know what you're talking about and are supporting my efforts to build my SEO skills.

Best Practice for NoFollow Tags'

Just wondering if others had any advice concerning nofollow tags. I currently have my site setup so the search engines pretty much index the entire site. But I also made sure not to show full posts in my archive or tag links to avoid duplicate content. My only concern is the category links, which must be indexed. Any advice would be great.

Hi, I (Netmark) am new here and first want everybody has a fantastic year!

My blog with new name web500.us was set up at 10/31/07 and have over 1800 outside links to it. But now still not have a page rank. My old domain name which I use it for two months (TopwebsiteGuides.com) has a PR of 2 or 3 (last time I check it). I just confused. I have built over 30000 unique visitors for the last two months.

I recently checked my page source on my front page, category pages, single post pages and others, I was just about appalled.

another good way to get a feel for what kind of job your blog software is doing generating a title tag and description is to do a google search on your domain. and see if the page results show the keywords you want predominately and if you would click on the title you see.

If you are interested, I would be glad to discuss what I did to improve it

It seems like this group kind of got derailed from the beginning with the 736 posts of 1,000 words each on the true meaning of keyword density. I was intrigued by the group focus (as it appears in the title) because I've never thought about approaching Wordpress SEO differently from any other SEO. Of course, that may be because I have only a few relatively new blogs using Wordpress, but I joined up mostly to learn more about the differentiation that makes a "Wordpress SEO" discussion different from a general SEO discussion. Anyone care to elaborate?

I have a totally different definition of keyword density, and have taken a lot of flak from all the experts about, saying that my definition is wrong and is seo disinformation. yet, not one would actually discuss the issues. Maybe this discussion area will be a place where we can actually talk about the definition of keyword density.
