Writers and Writing

As a writer I spend a huge portion of my day at home, on my computer and as a result not a lot of time is spent interacting with other people. It's probably one of the least social careers because anyone talking is just viewed, by me at least, as an interruption.

So how does everyone else combat this? Are we all relying on online groups and writers clubs or what?

Thanks for the input guys.
