A few weeks ago the McCain camp released a new campaign poster “Peace is born of Wisdom” (viewable here). I found the image and message so disingenuous I decided to craft my own campaign poster more reflective of McCain’s initial views on the Iraq War and his continued rhetoric about Iran.

i take your point, though I don't recall McCain getting us into the current war. Course his "Bomb, Bomb Iran" was completely inappropriate, but I think we have to separate his hardline campaign rhetoric from any policies he would pursue.

That said, attacks on him like yours are fair from a tit-for-tat mudslinging point of view, given his own amazing advertising of late. Some here are gonna love your poster. Others think McCain is the only thing saving them from Communism.

McCain tied Iraq to the anthrax attacks and used that to push for war.

McCain's been staunchly pro-war from the beginning, like Wisco said, even if he's had staged "disagreements" with Bush here and there.

Wow--I just agreed with globalgirl on another forum, and here I am disagreeing with markstoneman--have we entered bizarroworld?

Good points, but I really don't want to agree, because I hate to rip DrJay out of the twilight zone.

I wonder what McCain's record is for other such potentially defining moments. I say potentially, because I'm thinking of possible instances when we didn't go to war.

Great poster, inlookout - I love it!

@ mark, you can easily find out McCain's position on the defining moments (along with any other candidate's positions) by going to ontheissues.org.

I wouldn't be too generous with McCain. His campaign rhetoric, for now, is his position. Same as other other candidate.

Especially since there's waaaaay too much generosity for McCain going on in the media.
