A committee of senior senators must guide the president in the matters of national importance because senators know the real demands of the public and they contribute more to public policy.

Read the United States Constitution and study what separation of powers means. You cannot mix two different branches of government like this. It is unconstitutional and unworkable.

And I disagree about your assumption about the nature of senators, but that's irrelevant.

The president has cabinet members who help guide him in all federal and foreign matters.

Why would we need a separate committee to do the same job? And how would pulling them from the senate to work on this committee keep them in touch with their constituents any more so than the cabinet members are?

(And I agree with Mark about the nature of senators, but I digress).

The whole thing seems unnecessary and arbitrary.

I'm thinking the OP is not from the US and doesn't really know it's system or political culture.

There are plenty of corporate campaign donors to tell the President what to do, who to invade, who to pardon, etc...
