    I'm all for helping people who are less fortunate, but the fact that this takes money out of others pockets and distributes it to others crosses the line. If one person can't afford health care, then why is it another persons responsibility to give it to them?

      it might help raise healthier stock for the armed forces...

      If people can't afford all-terrain vehicles, why is it our responsibility to provide them roads?

      IDK, these are deep philosophical questions

      No Agit8r these are are legitimate easy questions that liberals tend to generalize what everyone wants. Which is NOT the case.

      I don't want the county to spend my property taxes on infrastructure improvements for Wal Mart, but that doesn't keep it from happening

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

    It's kind of tough to pursue happiness when you're sick and can't afford treatment. No one should die because they can't afford health insurance.

      I should note that healthcare was particularly unadvanced at the time that was written...

      On the other hand they didn't have chemical pesticides and heavy metals funking up most tap water, particulate air pollution clogging lungs, carcinogens in workplaces and schools..... o_0
